What do you think about the RTR180.?

Ashwin, I'd suggest u try the bigbore kit out as well on ur P220 and it will keep u smiling for the new few months. Do a drag with a CBR250 and tell me how far u were behind or ahead .
I personally disliked a P220 always, untill we tried the engine for a change. That damn thing turns really sweet when the right bits are done. We have P220's doing 7 odd secs o 100kph. Its cheap, reliable and super light on pocket. The only grime is the handling department, but thats not a great concern for touring. I think it does its job pretty decently.

If you still insist on a new bike, the CBR is a great choice. I have personally ridden a Ninja and CBR around, but found the CBR more suited for touring. The ninja is out and out fast, but peaky and expensive. The CBR will surprise u with its relaxed nature and midrange torque. The upgrades will make it even more appealing.
Even otherwise, CBR250 is a great pick. The DUke will make you cry and regret on an open road.

As some folks already said, i'd also say that you should wait for sometime and drive the P220 till then, cos there are really no bike(with in 2lac) except a used ninja that you'd call an upgrade from P220.

you're 21 so i don't think it would be long before you start earning yourself, then you can go for a ninja(used or new).

PS: Pool in the money from your parents and some from your side when you start earning
