  • Best second hand bike below around rs 35000?

I only use the bike 2 days a week.I plan to keep the bike for a long time.I love to ride,so bike must have decent power.Mileage should be at least around 35.
Bikes I am considering to buy are:RX100,RX135 4s,rxz,samurai.Are there any other options which I left out?People tell me don't buy bajaj, tvs bikes for second hand,as I plan to keep this bike for a long time. Please give your options.

    What Bike Query Approved
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Glamour not comfortable for Riding above seventy, ride quality is ok, my cousin has a six month old glamour non PGM-FI, gear shift is not very soft. and what sort of mods are you planning?

Its not in the same league of RX`s but then you can keep it for a very long time

I have not planned any mods,I want a mod friendly bike so that I can increase its performance when I am tired of riding it.Also I am not so confident in buying second hand 4 strokes, cause its more complex when coming to repairs/rebuilds etc.

Why don't you try a UG3 Pulsar 180? Not as fun as the 2 strokers, but at least spares and service is still widely available for it. I mean, I myself approve at least 3 threads every week about "Help me find a reliable mechanic for *so and so 2S bike*". For 2 days a week, you won't be riding it too much either. Anyways, I find it more fun than even a P220 (for the city). With its shorter gearing, excellent low end and comparatively lower weight, it is one helluva bike.

Or You can try a used ZMA. Both will be comfy, though only one will fulfill the 35kmpl requirement and the other one will fulfill the mod-friendly requirement.

I am seriously scared to buy a bajaj bike for second hand. And I agree with performance of UG3 Pulsar 180.Its lighter and easy to handle than p220.I am concerned that I wont be able to leave workshop. The main reason I consider 2s is because,a complete engine rebuild will cost less than 10k.How much it would cost for a 4s?

A block piston kit for a Pulsar 220 (new graphite coated ones) costs Rs.2800. This price doesn't include head (which rarely has any trouble). Pulsar 180 block piston pricing should be similar, if not lower. Labour will be extra. That way, 10k is more than enough for a new engine.

I have no idea about Karizma though.

Thanks. Its just that I always thought 4s is more expensive to rebuild.Never knew its this cheap.I will keep my eye open for UG3 Pulsar 180.I doubt that it will be available for 35k.

Thats funny.I actually wanted a CI bullet since I learned to ride a bike. But now here in kerala, even for crappy bulls, which need complete rebuild, people are asking 70k.So I thought about going for RX.Now demand for RX went high, now it is also bloody expensive. No choice,I am forced to think about other options.

So I was collecting information from last 2 months from many forums, but still confused.I will use this bike only on week ends and occasional trips to my college[60 km from home].I love to ride,so which one is better when considering sheer riding pleasure? What are the advantage one has over the other?I want great performance.Which one is more appropriate for performance modifications?Top speed does not matter much, because in my locality due to poor roads, maximum speed attainable on bike is 100km/hr.
                            0-60 timings,pick up matters a lot.
Read somewhere RX 100 is a better performer and fun to ride than all other bikes listed here.Is that true? Will fitting digital CDI,expansion chamber, etc. in RX 100 be as good as fitting them on RX 135?I plan to do some performance mods in future.
What would be the cost of these bikes in kerela?
People are asking 26k for even a not so good RX 100.
My question is,can someone please provide a detailed test drive report of these bikes. Also in terms of ride quality, is it worth to convert 135 4s to 135 5s?

why are you creating two threads ??

You want a RX series and retore it and here you want a suggestion on second hand bike below 35k....???

Please first narrow down your choice and requirement.

Then only we can suggest you. or you are plannig to buy two bikes???

Get a RX135 5 Speed as it is more fuel efficient than the 100/4 Speed.
It would be even more fuel efficient with the cat-con.
35K is good enough to get a well maintained 100 here.(the 135 starts at 40K and goes upto 70K for the Z in Bangalore)
Also look out for a Roadking(>1995) it feels much more stable and is 'bigger' to ride but has terrible FE.
The 135 5 speed with the cat con sounds wonderful at higher revs and it does not leave that huge smoke screen behind.
