Now coming to the 3 bikes. AS of now.

2012 Ninja 650R launch has no official date. The old one was brought in only in extremely limited no.s. Your only hope in this priceband really. Lets hope that it gets launched before peak winter.

Ducati has been having trouble delivering ANY bikes, not just the 795. Dealers are closing down and the service is patchy at best.

Harley, even though it will be vastly different from your current ride, the GSXR, is the only real option from the current shortlist.

I see that you are a bigger fan of 'Horsepower' than 'Heritage' so I would suggest you to reconsider your options. The only real options you have are the 3 bikes from Hyosung (who just had a change of Management in India) or the 1000cc and above bikes from the 3 Japanese manufacturers.

Out Of these options, my picks would be, in order of preference.
    1. Yamaha FZ1
    2. Suzuki Bandit
    3. Hyosung GT650R/N

Since you are looking for something friendly enough for the street.
Im not a fan of huge horsepower i like to have just enough thats why i don't ride litre bikes but considering everything i will be going with the iron 883 because i think i can bring a few upgrades for the bike when i come to india with me as well. Planning on bringing SE short shots exhaust, heavy breather intake and a fuel tuner with me so i can bump up the hp to 50. Thank you for all the suggestions.

What won me over today was i went to the yamaha dealership today here im trading in my gsxr for a 2009 r6 and there was a traded in iron 883 there and the sound it made with the short shots and the heavy breather was amazing like no other sound from a bike i have ever heard.

Told you - A harley is a harley and no bike can match the sound it generates

        So congratz on your decision

Nice that you've made your decision already. But just to confuse you a bit, there has been a rumor that the bookings for the Ninja 650R will reopen in a fortnight.

The only reason I included the 2 Liter bikes was the lack of options in the 6xx cc segments.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.
