    ZMR,NEW R15 and OLD R15,Im looking for good performance,top end speed,and stability
I have heard that the new r15 make it impossible for ladies to sit and iam a tall boy with height 5,11
Please guys help me out and main thing which of these three have more mileage?
    GHOST,
Buddy you need to decide your requirement, purpose and usage in chronological order.
Since most of the respected and knowledgeable persons have already responded your query.

Firstly all Bikes are very good and riding decently will give you 40+ kmpl.
Secondly they would decently do 110kmph - 120kmph.
Thirdly take a Test Ride personally and feel the difference.

Finally I have not heard any X-Bhpian to have a low maintenance cost even for Splendors.
Reason: They love their machines more than themselves. Spending on Jackets to Gloves to Helmets are probably a part of this Riding game.

Cheers for your new Ride. Ride Safe!!!
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

Yes to get 120kmph it slags!! but not for 100kmph. and if a girl within 65kgs are any time sure to ride at that speed.
its true top end even when riding alone is 108kmph or say 110kmph to be max..nothing more then that it can do..that makes Fazer a bit impotent as a role of tourer..

110kmph is absolutely ok tourer speed !!

I haven't seen any Tourer riding at above 90kmph all time only 20% of their rides are > 100kmph. else they in range of 80<=>100 kmph only.

riding anything over 100kmph needs more focus and alertness. which any tourer don't do. They cruise easily from roads at left hand side and kick world's shit out. "Who care attitude" I have a R15 and frnds RE electra both can do 120kmph easily but i preffer to be in 80-100 range while riding it for longs distance. But even i have riding to 133kmph on R15 but still preffer only that range..

Speed is just for few kms later it's the air bebeath our bikes and touching us what matters.

constant 80Kmph on an empty highway isn't enough bro you at least need to have a minimum cruising speed of 100+kmph & that's very stress full for a fazer

read the comparison between both from touring point of view specially under this link -

to brief that here's the conclusion they got but do read whole article properly..

@Somen1984: Speed of 110kmph is OK but the point here is that Fazer/FZ-S/FZ-16 tops out at around that speed. Here we are talking about maintaining these speeds and a fazer cannot maintain the speed of 110kmph easily.

I have a Bullet Electra 5S since 2006 and an FZ-S 2011 and ridden both on highways. Other than a semi fairing, there's no difference between FZ-S and Fazer including the gear ratios. Infact, Fazer is 4kgs heavier. Regarding Electra, I am not sure if you are talking the Electra with new UCE engine, but with the Cast Iron engine there's no way an Electra can easily do 120kmph (not even on speedo). Infact, FZ is better at maintaining speeds around 90kmph than a Electra. I have the Electra with CI engine, but I am sure that even with the new UCE engine it's not going to be easy for Electra.

It's UCE electra!! and it's an awesome bike!!

And maintaing speed is what we do with machine. Why can't Fzer be at 100kmph ?? any short comings on it ??? many users have claimed it goes 120kmph single ridden.

Iam not at all a Fazer supporter but it's not a bad machine either

Friend i don't see any issues with FZ or Fazer for this.

Anytime ZMR is better product on Fazer.

Somen, I am not saying that there's any shortcoming with Fazer/FZ-S. I own a FZ-S But its a motorcycle with a simple 2 valve 150cc engine which has a true top speed of around 110kmph. A motorcycle that tops out around 110kmph (unless electronically restricted) cannot sustain that speed easily, this is all what I am trying to say. A comfortable speed is going to be atleast 15-20kmph below its top speed. Ofcourse it can achieve 100+, but cannot maintain it easily (as the engine is nearing its limit of performance). That's it

Just coming from riding my friends FZ and my R15 was adjacent to FZ. I was able to crusie the bike at 108kmph quickly but Yes bike struggled to 118 kmph and gradually achieved 120kmph same on R15 +/- 1-2kmph. So still 108kmph is not bad at all.

Lol.... Great confusion as every one goes by R15 looks and performance!

But FZ is much better than R15 on daily baisis.

Friend don't go for R15V2.0 unless untill you are alone child in family. That means no sisters or mother or aged dad with a willing of boarding a bike for some household stuffs regularly!!!
R15V2 is not all female friendly or aged person friendly.

It does have awesome looks/performance/handling/stability/quality but is for true college youngster who only roam around.

R15V1 was better than this in terms of family atleast.

No R15V2 owner can support that R15V2 is for family too. it's better you go for second hand R15V1

                    Else your choice Dude!!

Go for CBR 150 if you are sports bike freak,

                      Fazer Top Speed

To every one who has been questioning the top speed of fazer....

I owned the fazer for an year and did 13k KM on it, i've taken it to speeds of 123kph (speedo indicated). So i dont think it tops out at 110kph.
It struggles past 105kph mark, it can easily be ridden at 90-95kph no issues cos i've done that.

But as the TS has not mentioned it as an option, so i dont think we should discuss about fazer or fzs here

But did i say something different ??

We are not at all fighting over Fazer Vs FZ where as both share same engine !!

                        Just few "Peek A Boo"
Everyone has different riding style of clutch/gear/accelrator and Road.

I got a Quick 108+/-kmph but it started slagging later. Nothing Else.

This thread is about 3 17.xx bhp bikes. Please refrain from including something which makes 20% less power than that. Clearly those bikes cannot hold a candle to the 3 shortlisted by the Thread Starter, who, by the way, has been missing ever since he made the query.
