2 Cylinders are always better than one. You get the lower cc per cylinder advantage as well. In a way best of both worlds. Just my thought.Originally posted by aargee View PostMotorcycling Experience:

Thanx for sharing your experience. I am getting convinced that CBR250R is better upgrade from Karizma.Originally posted by rachitkohli View PostReading your thread reminded me of my delimma which I was in few months back. Let me share my experience to you.
Even I owned (still own) a karizma for 5 years & over 85k kms with some touring. While & before my purchase, the cbr thread used to be filled with lots of problems & issues experienced. More in the initial lot, but it seemed to be improving for some & I wished to take the risk. I got the cbr due to lack of choices, budget constraints, low maintanence, performance, speed & most importantly a 'practical' bike. Though, it turned out to be a perfect decision for me. Yes, CBR is certainly an update over the karizma in terms of control, speed, touring abilities, superb low end for traffic & amazing acceleration for the overtakes. Its indeed quiet practical, I use it everyday for office, on highway & in heavy traffics or for touring or a short spin. To mention here, the pillion seat is quiet comfortable. The speeds you do on CBR are more controllable, relaxed on engine & much stable then a karizma. The fuel efficiency is almost in the league of karizma. The best thing here is the servicing intervals. In karizma you might be doing it on every 1800-2000 approx kms. But for CBR no need to worry for 5000km gaps on an ease. Its been almost 6 months & around 9k kms, am using CBR everyday & waiting to ride it more until i reach the 3rd service. So far just had one problem, i.e. Coneset defect. But they where replaced at over 6k kms free of charge & minor niggles like little vibrations in the front, but it was fixed as well for free & promptly. If the road permits, you can easily ride within 120-135 comfortably & relaxed for the bike, with more power & acceleration left in hand. No problem for the above speeds with luggage or pillion as well.
Though, if you can buy & maintain a Ninja.. Then no second thoughts, which is a FACT. But I would considering getting a little bigger bike if I could manage that much budget.
Some things which you may miss at times is, the relaxed seating position of a karizma. On the CBR its not too relaxed, not too aggressive. But after karizma, feels little sporty here & I like it.
Am happy, enjoying & glad I bought the CBR. Worth it.!
It is good to know the service intervals for CBR250R is 5K Kms. How abt chain slack ? that would need adjustment at-least once in 1500 Kms right ?

So far I have got it adjusted while service only, as part of its routine.. Though keep lubing myself after around 600-800kms.Originally posted by elangoas View PostThanx for sharing your experience. I am getting convinced that CBR250R is better upgrade from Karizma.

, never thought about that. Who would've guessed Kawasaki used basic mathematics to fix the N250R's price.

These are only INMO:Originally posted by aargee View PostNot to debate, but asking out of curiosity, can you help understand how pls?
I din't here any issues in Ninja even after it's launch, not in intial or later phase, is this the difference that Kawasaki parts only, and their makes only ??
If ninja would have come in 2.5L then don't you think Ninja would have become so common that it would been like a next pulsar next door concept!! Ninja is King today Bro!! 2 cynclinders. which is extremely powerful. There is a huge difference in Quality and product compare to Ninja with todays bike in india?? Ninja is a legend and coming less than 3L would really make it availble in all hands and the name would be nor more a Ninja!! It's a dream!! 2 cylinder etc!!
INMO somethings should be in hands which really deserves it. We buy bike but in next 1 yrs all loves goes away and we treat it like a mere 2 wheeler, But now anyone who buys ninja would really take care because he is buying beyond the things now. People brought R15 which was extensively expensive compare to any 150 cc bike in India?? why ?? that's the reason why i think Ninja is rightly placed!!

Neither did I; I guess we're going back to the oldest, a topic discussed to death on justifying Ninja 250R's priceOriginally posted by somen1984 View PostI din't here any issues in Ninja
I don't know; you tell meOriginally posted by somen1984 View Postis this the difference that Kawasaki parts only, and their makes only ??
ROTFL!!! You're bringing now Pulsar to rescue or what? And where's that 2.5 taken?Originally posted by somen1984 View PostIf ninja would have come in 2.5L...a next pulsar next door concept
Wrong!!! Ninja 650...oh wait...Yamaha FZ1...oh wait...Monster...oh wait...R1...oh wait...Busa...oh wait...Originally posted by somen1984 View PostNinja is King today Bro!!
Means 2.99LOriginally posted by somen1984 View PostNinja is a legend and coming less than 3L
That's relativity; I hope you can see the difference between the below statements...Originally posted by somen1984 View PostBut now anyone who buys ninja would really take care because he is buying beyond the things now
I've money to buy 220, but I'm buying N250 with loan
VERSUS
I've money to buy 848, but I'm buying N250
Aah!!! So you're saying this is the reason to say N250R is rightly priced. Sry to say, I really don't see a connection or am I missing somethingOriginally posted by somen1984 View PostPeople brought R15 which was extensively expensive compare to any 150 cc bike in India?? why ?? that's the reason why i think Ninja is rightly placed!!

True!!Originally posted by aargee View PostNeither did I; I guess we're going back to the oldest, a topic discussed to death on justifying Ninja 250R's price

Yes it's the quality and no compromise for sure!!Originally posted by aargee View PostI don't know; you tell me

2.5 L i guess is a justified logival price for a 2 cynlinder liquid cooled bike ??...lol...Originally posted by aargee View PostROTFL!!! You're bringing now Pulsar to rescue or what? And where's that 2.5 taken?

And pulsar is best machine a person can have at present price!! so i am now thinking why are you ROTFL......

Aargee you get too deep into feelings !!!Originally posted by aargee View PostWrong!!! Ninja 650...oh wait...Yamaha FZ1...oh wait...Monster...oh wait...R1...oh wait...Busa...oh wait...
Chill Brother!!
King means in 250cc now in india it's the best bike a person can have!!! nw am i clear??

ANd the heavy duty bikes above are more than kings !!!
lol.... 1000cc WoW!!!

Again you went too deep, less means if a Ninja comes in <3L then surely i won't go for it, else i will opt for 650GTOriginally posted by aargee View PostMeans 2.99L

Absolutely perfect example!!!Originally posted by aargee View PostThat's relativity; I hope you can see the difference between the below statements...
I've money to buy 220, but I'm buying N250 with loan
VERSUS
I've money to buy 848, but I'm buying N250

But don't you think here the matter is of our choice?buying a 220 and regreting a feel of N250 it means 90k is in soup! Buying a N250 instead of 848 means, not focused in what he wants???
Money always plays a role in all stuff, dezires should also be in reality then it's worth, There are people who don't have a 4 wheeler but have a N250 at home, how is this practical and logical decision ???
a 18L bike also runs under sun heat and makes us wet in rain, dirt and dust and only 2 can seat!! But a 2.9L alto F8 gives you powers teering, AC, safety from Sun, Rain Dust, etc and 4 can seat and roam around. Isn't this logical ??
Infact a NANO is more worth than a R15 or CBR today date but still people buy these machines, now isn't this choice??
I myself don't support any loan schemes for two wheeler atleast!
Yes These are the reasons, But my friend this depends on every individuals taste and likes dislikes!! I will prefer this staements and my brother(You) don't. Np ChillOriginally posted by aargee View PostAah!!! So you're saying this is the reason to say N250R is rightly priced. Sry to say, I really don't see a connection or am I missing something

CBR Vs Ninja is very old War tricks in all ages!! So we don't need to justify anyone my friend. Let the TS decide and he has already made up his mind for CBR250!!!
So no more pens here !!!
So now, Any Monsoon trip ??
i did a mumbai-Saputara-Saputara but in my i10!
