Frakly speaking they won't ever, the techn Design they use are way old now, where people are moving to FI/DOHC/ speed and stability!!

I think this is simply due to the UCE, as I have mentioned in diffrent thread, if not for the UCE I would have never opted for cl350. UCE offers mileage, lesser vibes and lesser 'noise' (I prefer noise over thump - appologies to the 'thump' lovers), increased reliability, lesser maintanence (compared to CI or AVL).

@hyperretard : yours is not UCE as its 2009 model, this deal is not good for u, you being RE hater.

Most of you talking here about speed, RE will not do speed its not for street racing or cutting the traffic off in signal etc. its a commuter and tourer. But even in commuting you can enjoy the ride which you cannot with any other so called 'plastics'. I have a plastic with me now which serves me great in commuting, but honestly I would never say I thoroughly enjoy it.

I think and RE can be enjoyed with some pre conditions as follows :

      1. Don't do speeds higher than 80
      2. Ride it with grace - don't thrash it
      3. Maintain it well - spend time and money generously
Its crime to ride a car alone, so I ride bike :).

It can be also, UCE is was launched in June 2008. So a 2009 model would be an UCE only!!

Well that will be a noticable point, if its UCE I would seriously consider (the deal I mean). But, one needs to check the condition of the bike, if the paints, chromes are in tact, and the engine condition is decent, 50k for a 13k clocked UCE std is deal to seriously condider about.

Since you don't like bullets don't go for it. Better buy some other bike what you like and what good deal you get. With the many issues of Bullets you will even get more frustated. Get a nice modern machine that would be much better!!

                Maybe a little OT :

Are bullets really that horrible when it comes to cornering?

What is being implied when people are mentioning cornering..

bullet is a bullet..it can't be compared with Jap bikes..it has its own class...if anyone is a corner maniac or love to roll on curves and hairpin bends go for a sports bike not a cruiser..

I say buy it, since you say it is in excellent condition and the price seems nice.

Who knows, it may grow on you and we may find you singing praises of RE in the future.

Buy it, ride it for a month; do all your riding on it for this period and see if it is something you can live with. If not, simply let it go.

Not at all, when me and my buddy test drove a STD, he did corner (around 50 -45 degrees) having me in pillion in a decent 55-60k speed. It did decent though I had my heart in my mouth.

                        No offences meant.

Very true, and not just this but also the terms bulleteers use to mentions other bikes like 'jap-crap', 'toy' etc are meaningless. Japs have given great innovations to automobiles especially to country like India their solutions have been fabulous. I wouldn't call any japanese bike / car as 'crap'.

We are not speaking about some metal and plastics...a true biker would appreciate even a tiniest of the bike to the highest CC bikes...nothing to be degraded

Love your two wheeler, smaller or bigger & enjoy your ride

                          @ the TS

If you dont like something stay away from it and dont take even if its given free of cost...and if you have to live with it then you would regret for your life

When you love a girl and you are forced to marry somebody else whom you dont love...you are going to regret for your life or else you have to start loving the person whom you married....else you need to divorce and go as per your wish (by then either your GF would have gone, you will have to search for somebody else) and choose from the available lot
Never Give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.

                          Cheers

Bullet is not for cornering and you can't! Else you will be in hospital!

Absolutely! It has it's own share in biking industry! Bikers etc. Bullet is age old craz in minds of people. Frank is Bullet is very tough, if you take it to some non tar roads like some very poor villages Bullet does very well there, infact it doesn't give much wear and tear issues either, apart from servicing and fuel.

                            ....No no ono....

Real cornering is when you tilt on corners at 80-100kmph. So, bullet can't do that at all. Any simple bike can also do a cornering at normal speed, i did it on my Aspire a 110cc bike at 40-60kmph, but can't do it on >90kmph.

But why are we talking on cornering???

Bullet is for rough and tough terrains, straight line ride with comfort and less fuel average!!

If it does in @60kmph then thats fine I believe, anyways bullets are not meant to be ridden at very high speeds...
taking a corner and taking your bike to a racetrack are poles apart... if a bike which is ridden at 80 kmph in a straightline takes a corner at 60 is fine i believe...

P.S. : I only bought this up because I have a lot of friends who are riding to hills pretty frequently on their bulls, i see them lean the bikes with ease.. atleast i never heard anyone complain, thats why i also mentioned what is being implied by cornering here...
everyone was after bull's cornering so I just wanted to clarify

Bullet was my favorite bike but I lost interest in it when a Honda Dio which I was riding, caught in unexpected drag racing with a bullet and that fellow lost when my scooty smoked him at 85km/hr. The rider on the bullet was really ashamed in that scenario

Why keep metre reading at 120 when you even can't cross 90. Learn from volvos, maximum 120 reading on metre and max speed touches 120
