About the Achiever, Its the same case all over India. But you can still get one if you place an order with the concerned showroom. As long as it is featured on the website, it has not been discontinued.
Spares availability is another matter altogether though...Last edited by antz.bin; 07-22-2012, 03:40 PM.Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

if you wants some performance and power go for pulsar 135 .if you want style and sporty looks go for honda stunner and also stunner is so reliable than any others also not so bad in performance and mileage.yamaha sz doesnt give you enough mileage and it is little low in power compared to pulsar 135ls but got the same detuned engine of yamaha fz16.now its all up to yousaikrishna

@Enthusiastic - Thanks for the suggestion bro. I'll certainly have a test ride of Discover 125 in the coming week or so. What I meant by "similar to riding a scooter"(not scooty like Pep,but a scooter like Honda Activa) is there's not much of a diff in cc, as in my Nova was 135cc(just checked)
and Discover is 125cc..so I was wondering how powerful it would be as compared to Nova.
@abhi7013 - No mate, if I think of increasing the budget to my parents, I might have to buy it myself when I start working
lol
@somen1984- SZ-r is still an option. I'll keep it in mind after test riding both Disco and SZr
@MHG - your review was enthralling mate. Since more than half of you guys have suggested Disco 125, I'll definitely have to make it my first preference. To be honest, The thing is it looks too 'simple'
I mean i can't speak for the specs or how it works, but from a layman or third person view, it looks no different than a splendor (no offence
) From this perspective, in my opinion , SZ-r is the winner. It definitely looks better to take to college
But overall, I know you guys know what is best, so Disco will still be first choice.
@saikrishna111 - Between SZ-r and Discover, I think Pulsar135 comes in both looks and mileage, power( i guess, correct me if i am wrong here). So, it's my 2nd option.
Thanks for replying/suggesting/advicing guys. It means a lot to a first timer like me

i would definitely suggest you p135 instead of sz-r.discover 125 is also good bike which have latest tech but it lacks the sporty feel of a pulsar to be frank.and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.
#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
#overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road
(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

Dude Discover 125ST DOES look pretty good in Blue. And as far as taking bike to college goes, I actually like lower profile bikes. Less annoying idiots messing with it and acting like pro bike techs. Partly reason why I'm postponing my purchase till I pass out and prefer to use my old skool 2-strokeOriginally posted by ordinaryme View Post@MHG - your review was enthralling mate. my activa was giving problem once again...cheap honda parts...so i went to the local mech who also runs a showroom selling bikes(not authorised to any brand)
saw the dicover 125 ST
looks pretty bulkier than the previous discover(since all the discovers are same in size, this looked like a 5 year old bigger brother)
it looks great...build quality is good..told me 63K OTR so may be from an authorised showroom we can get it in 61K
the guy didnt give me for test ride
it isnt a looker if we just casually glance thru the lot of bikes but if u notice carefully it looks quite handsome..
so u get a good bike and doesnt come into the eyes of those who ant to play around with nice looking bikes
i mistook it as the usual discover but then saw the discover sticker slanted and carefully noticed..alloys and the petal disc and the monoshock look great
i saw the black and red combo...i wished we had the blue colour which comes in pular or the speed lines black blue combo..Pulsar 200NS parts list
