It's only 2.6K odo you should not go for FS!!Originally posted by MaXDard View PostGuys. Im thinking to get my duke oil changed to MOTUL 7100 20w50 tomorrow, because i feel like the pickup is gradually dying day by day now. I've done 2.6K ODO.

It's better let your bike be in recommended oil by Bajaj!! After 6-8k odo than you change to FS. and pickup is not oil's fault it's some FI/Air filter or some other issue!! get it check by SVC ASAP!!

The dukes an awesome bike! I have done almost 9700 kms on mine and no real issues besides tightening my chain every 3k kms approx and u gotta buy a good chain lube and lube it up every 500 kms ..but thats some of the basic things you do to take care of your machine so it takes care of you too. I had to tighten my cone set because for the first time its come a little loose after i tightened it about just 2000 kms ago need to get it checked. Other than that the bikes awesome and i even fell once because there was gravel on the road and someone was walking almost center and had to jam my brakes to avoid ramming him (bad idea) ..anyway there was no damage on the bike..i know because i checked her before checking myself or yelling at the guy..<_<.. I only had some damage on my leg guard and very little on the rubber for the accelerator and i had a small scratch on my shin..like a really small one. I once made a mistake parking too close to a tree and while putting the bike on its side stand the ground was a little lower to the side of the stand and my mirror got compressed between the tree and the bikes weight and cracked..my heart cracked too..but it costed me 210rs to replace the whole thing. In all i haven't paid alot to maintain my baby. But know this..all bikes made are not tested and all new ones will have some problem or the other, dont be dissatisfied the problems get sorted out on warranty so you dont pay a thing and makes the bike even better. I had a leak in my tank suddenly after 5000 kms and the company did it up for free. Also the service guys here in mumbai are very helpful. Hope this helps..

Just crossed 9K ODO and got 3rd final free service. I pin-pointed 2 issues in my bike to the senior guy in ktm service station.
1) Knocking sound from piston (yet not affecting any performance, so not a big problem),
2) Chain sound while rotating around gearbox (the cher-cher sound, that was my main concern of getting to service).
I asked the guy to please get the sound disappear whateva it takes.
They charged me Rs.3600/- for this service and neither of the above issues are resolved. SAD KTM (ops BAJAJ) service station.
After them to take a ride and sort it out. But they said "Chain change karni padegi sir. But aese hi chalaalo. Koi problem nai hai". I get my bike clean and lubed every weekend and no rash driving. It all started after i tighten the chain by myself at home. I rode the whole day like that. At the end of the day, I again loosed the chain back where it was. But the sound cher-cher still continues. Help yaar..

Hey guys,
I'm new here not sure if this is the right thread but anyways its about DUKE. I'm planning to buy a Duke 200 this week, took a test drive yesterday. I was hoping that the 2013 model comes with the Abs as their website states but the showroom guys have no idea about that. Shed some light on this issue. I'm in bangalore. Thanks in advance.

ABS is for the Duke 390 bro, not the Duke 200...Originally posted by duke22 View PostHey guys,

Re: Duke 200??
You can ask the Service center people to clean the Fuel Injector, at home you can try cleaning the Air filter yourself. The below link is a guide to replacing an Air filter.Originally posted by MaXDard View Postcan i clean FI or Air filter by myself at home??
Air Filter Replacement | MAX: Motorcycling Academy of xBhp: Powered by Castrol Power1
You could get some videos on youtube as how to clean the filter.
