Tank foundation points on chassis are same for both the bikes so it will not be a problem to get standard tank on electra not sure how it matches with rest of the bike.in my opinion go with electra.take a test ride of tbts also .Originally posted by AmanZ View Post

All designs (Paint) on the RE are hand made, you can get the standard tank fixed on the electra and there is no issues with it as it is a straight fit, but dont do it within the free service period.Originally posted by AmanZ View PostI like the Standard only for one reason.... the tank logo which is hand made and even the paint job on the tank is handmade....
can i get the same tank or the design of standard 350 on electra. if yess.. then its a clear yes for electra..
Thanks in advance...

From pictures and seeing them on road, both tanks seem identical. Hunt around for the logo. If you find it, buy the electra and install on itOriginally posted by AmanZ View PostI like the Standard only for one reason.... the tank logo which is hand made and even the paint job on the tank is handmade....

There are many vendors who provide customised tanks which would fit on a standard chasis, check out on the netOriginally posted by AmanZ View Postokie... thank you guys...
so the tank sizes are almost the same... so i can fit the tank of standard model on electra... kool.. and even the meter can be changed..
Thanks guys

+1Originally posted by amardeep2006 View PostOnly disk brakes can be fitted (price ~8K) on standard and not self start.
Electra has few more features like gas filled shocks, metallic color and chrome

Re: Which Royal Enfield
I hope I will get good response to my query which should help me to make a decision, as there are a lot of folks who belong to RE family
My query could sound silly to some. But, please bear with me:
I am planning to add RE to my family..But which one I am confused...Hence, after lot of thought I am posting here:
1. RE Classic 350: Bangalore is infested with RE Classics in last couple of years. I am sure Bangalore must be right up there on RE sales & profit numbers. Love it, but not sure for couple of reasons. One, waiting period ( I know many of you will say it's worth the wait. But can't stretch my patience levels to that extent). Second, wherever I see, I find classic just like Pulsars...no offence. So, bit bored. But still need your opinion in comparision with RE Electra
2. RE Electra 350 Twin Spark: Even though it looks cool and to me it looks a traditional bullet, is it worth the buy? Any niggles ( Dont laugh at me) compared to newer RE's. Works for me in terms of budget, waiting period and call me typical Indian...Mileage. is it as reliable as newer REs.
Please answer my queries.
PS: No RE Bullet 500...Beyond budget and does not require so much power & torque; RE Continental GT: Single seater is good. But I am married and dual seater looks are not so good. No Thunderbirds.

Re: Which Royal Enfield
experimentalhead C350 are common & have long waiting, no TB, 500 have more power than you require and atlast the continental GT for its price. So the electra should be the RE for you, as you may already known it has the same UCE heart so reliability is same as other Enfields. My friend has one & it glides at 80kmph, onlys issue faced by him is rust (I think its common in REs) & the rear drum brake which was getting loose now & then which was latter fixed (actuating spring) by service station. On highways expect a minimum efficiency of 35kmpl with a typical Enfield comfort. All the best for you Enfield!Last edited by Traveller01; 04-23-2014, 02:32 AM.

Re: Which Royal Enfield
Thanks Traveller01 Any idea about what is the mileage in city? Is it true that it fetches around 45 Kmpl in city.Originally posted by Traveller01 View Post@experimentalhead C350 are common & have long waiting, no TB, 500 have more power than you require and atlast the continental GT for its price. Re: Which Royal Enfield
experimentalhead even I have heard of efficiency close to 45kmpl. I can only tell from what I have seen, that a tankful of petrol easily lasts for 480 to 500km with some fuel remaining. I think 45kmpl is definitely possible for a 350cc long stroker as the operational rpm range is way less than other bike in this capacity. Be it in the city or the highway on sane riding you can easily extract 40kmpl.

Re: Which Royal Enfield
Bro, if you would love to do a hassle free touring at high speeds (beyond 80kmph) you might have to re-consider the Bullet 500. Its totally worth it, in comparison to FI engines of RE 500s. (Personally never liked FI for REs)Originally posted by experimentalhead View PostI hope I will get good response to my query which should help me to make a decision, as there are a lot of folks who belong to RE family

Else, if you are very strict on the budget then Electra 350 would do just fine.
+ I think Bullets have a shorter waiting period. My friend got a RE 350 Bullet std within 4 months in Bangalore.Last edited by Sal; 04-24-2014, 08:54 AM.It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

Thanks Sal Even though I love to possess a Bullet 500, budget is a constraint. Can I change the tail lamp of Electra to Bullet 500?
