Or what about an apache...???
Way better than Dazzler(in terms or power and enthusiasm) Am only 5'4 and both FZ and RTR are comfortable for me....
Thank you For your suggestion Arjun.. about the Apache RTR's arent they super uncomfortable for long rides like daily commute of more than 30 to 40 kms ..? and what about the vibes .. people not satisfied with the engine
and its like purpose built for racing .. i am definitely not going to race and rip madly in our roads..

Spoiler Alert: Long message!!
Hey Shrikanth, I'll try providing a general suggestion based on what I know so far about indian motorcycles.
I list below your needs as I understand them:
1. Good looking bike (not a commuter lbike - no splendor, discover, etc.)
2. Reasonable mileage (not spots bike - no cbr, duke, etc.)
3. Reliable machine, preferably easy on pocket
4. I am unclear, but there is probably a mention of weight expectations & seat height related expectations in some of your posts
I am a motorcycle enthusiast (not the sports kind, but curious about the evolution of our industry and the various choices/players/value for money aspects). For your budget, there is a very large choice of vehicles available. So I would norrow down by some additional parameters.
Here is how I would go about making a decision. Based on how long I intend to own it,
1. I would decide on the essential characters of the motorcycle. Is there a kerb weight to restrict on, a minimum mileage to restrict on, performance characteristics to restrict on, etc. For example, I had a weight and mileage restriction and that helped me zero-in on Twister.
2. I would find out what are the most sold vehicles in the relevant segments (150, 180 and 200 cc). List out the top 2 or 3 manufacturers. Observing trends will give you an insight into what is the most sought after and indirectly what is most trouble free, etc. This will also help you with resale when it is time to say good bye.
Remember, yamaha owns a negligible percent of market. So personally, I would never buy a yamaha regardless of how cool the bike might be.
3. I would take a test ride to checkout the secondary characterstics. Could be seat height, how the pertol tank lid looks, etc. And then go online and checkout the ownership reviews, shootout comparisions and any other items being discussed in the forums.
And finally, here are some good choices I can give you:
1. Hunk 150
2. Dazzler 150
3. Pulsar (GS 150 should be here, but you mentioned a dislike in one of the posts above)
Either one will be a reliable, efficient machine for long term use. And they all look good. This is my two cents.
All the best.CB Twister Yellow

@been there:
Thank you for the Good suggestion there dude. very true.
Regarding the height weight issues you were not clear on , its that i am short and skinny ..so was worried if that will be a issue after a buy some bike and i find it hard to handle it.
I still bid on the Honda Dazzler ( Sword Silver )

I had similar constraint too when going about my purchase. I am skinny and tall (like your broom stick). I could buy plenty of motorcycles that look good, but the thing I was worried was whether I would look good on the motorcycle.
And so I had put a weight restriction on the bike partly because light weight is easy to handle in city traffic and easy to work with in parking lots (dragging, parking, etc.). And since I was no longer sixteen, I did not need performance characteristics meaning I opted for mileage oriented vehicles.
Just for your info.
P.S.: Dazzler has every thing I was hoping for in my dream bike; good looks, reasonable mileage, double disk brakes, handlebar weights, etc. And it's a Honda, so you can't go wrong with it!!CB Twister Yellow

Any 150cc commuter would cost you <1L. But i will suggest you GS150r, Dazzler, CBZ/Hunk Dual Disc, SZr only.Originally posted by shrikanth555 View PostRequirements:
1. budget: under 1 lakh.
Any one from the above lot, Do consider FZ also, there are many mileage figures it gives, but it's not that bas, few get, 30-35kmpl to 40-45kmpl. I am the one in 40-45kmpl in FZ. Comfort in FZ is excellent for daily as well as 300kms one side.Originally posted by shrikanth555 View Post2. daily commute about 30Kms and weekend long distance travel. ( thinking of using the bike to travel to my native once in 2 months which is about 300 Kms away)
hmmm.....Originally posted by shrikanth555 View Post3. has to look good if not better as i am single

Any one from the above! They all are in 45-55kmpl range, GS150 gives 60 kmpl also.Originally posted by shrikanth555 View Post4.fuel economy is a factor but not that it will make me buy a cycle instead of a bike ( 40+ Kmpl should be good to go )
As aboveOriginally posted by shrikanth555 View Post5. cubic capacity: looking for something in the 150cc & above capacity (although i came across the honda cbr125 R Review yesterday and now having second thoughts
)
one and only FZ/Frazer.Originally posted by shrikanth555 View Post6.comfort of riding .. not talking about the sitting posture..
Hero, Yamaha, Honda.Originally posted by shrikanth555 View Post7. Good Reliable Engine.
Dazzler anytime a best bike to have in 150cc becuase it has Honda Badge, Dual Disc.Originally posted by shrikanth555 View Postso did some homework and have finalized on "the Honda Unicorn Dazzler"
Next option is CBZ/Hunk Dual Disc only.
Next GS150r
LAst would be SZr.
If you can live with FZ then it's best in all xcept mileage!!
For your height all mentioned bikes are suitable!!

in my opinion,
fz, apache and dazzler would suit you with your height..
fz is simply best of the lot ..it handles well and fun to ride in the city and comes with great refinement and quality...has grt acceleration but loses its breath past 80kmph...fazer is a bit more comfortable with different handle position..
apache is a fast bike and with your budget you can get 180ABS..new one looks
different...and apache has vibration issues...
dazzler is good all round package and if you like its looks go ahead and buy it,you wont regret it..
imo, test drive all these bikes and then decide..

Are you Sure ??

I don't see FZ loosing untill 100kmph-105kmph, Many FZ bikes do race with my R15 on highways!!
FZ loosing it's might built to power post 100kmph...
And 100kmph is not bad, is it?? and FZ goes upto 115kmph+/- 5kmph

@somen.
what i meant was the initial acceleration of fz/fazer is too good due to good bottom end but the top end is surely low ...after 80 you surely miss the initial acceleration..which doesnt mean it cannot do 100 ....
it surely does above 100 but you still miss the initial grunt at higher revs...
dude after all it is a 153cc bike ,do you expect its top speed to be 80?

When I went to a honda showroom and asked for dazzler, the girl there told me that it is not coming anymore,so I would not think of buying it.Try apache 180,if 200 NS is too big,I will do the same."Vibes transmitted from crank shaft to frame, then through the bearings of the head stock and into the stem where it meets the triple clamp and into the clip-ons where it is greeted with great pleasure by my hands"-ratfighter mod rtr

But, Bro i don't expect any 150cc bike in commuter segment to have same initial grut as it has in bottom speed, to be in higher speed too.. It will slag post 100kmph, I have ridden FZ numerous time i don't see it so sluggish even near 100kmph single ridden!! But yes it's sluggisg post 100kmph...So not being boom is what normal behavior of bike is at edge of it's high speed. FZ is good till 100kmph and slags beyond 100kmphs and very bad is it's mileage!!Originally posted by vickul View Post@somen.

You should be lucky, you came to know before buying it, what if you had brought it and suddenly model stopped!! Re-sale and maintenance would go on toss!!Originally posted by shrikanth555 View PostOk So i go to this showroom here on Saturday to test ride the Dazzler..
