    Confused In Honda CBR 250 Vs Yamaha R 15

    Hi, Guys I have purchased Pulsar 220 - 3 months back... but I am not satisfy from this Bike I dont know why performance wise good no doubt. Now I am going to purchase another Bike next month. But I am totaly confused which bike should I purchase . I am confused in Honda CBR and Yamaha R15 new model ... Can any body help me or suggest to me for which bike is good ...

    Advice is a form of nostalgia.
    Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

        p220 to CBR250 -> bad choice. there is not much gain in power over p220 and you will miss few things like flickability of p220 compared to 250, headlights, handling, offroading capability,
        p220 to R15 -> good only if you want a better handling machine but soon, you will miss the torque and power of p220 as 95% of the time you will be riding in city where cornering does not matter much.

        Test ride both the bikes back to back and select the one which satisfies you. take it for a long ride, real long ride to understand the bike

          Depends on where you ride majority. If city then no point in upgrading.. P220 is perfect for that. If its highway and your desperately looking at a new bike then go for cbr.. Else 220 is good...

            But why not see the brighter side guy's??

            P220 to CBR- Honda's patented quarter litre bike of international presence, liquid cooled engine can keep her throttle wide open all day long, superior handling characteristics, superb sports touring capabilities and an optional ABS and not to forget the fuel injection though.

            P220 to R15 2.0 - superb refined 150cc engine that is one of it's kind in India, absolutely delightful revv happy engine, lightened alu swingarm, international R series inspired styling as well as knee scrapers delight perimeter frame and ultra sharp braking.

            @ the thread starter, it's time to decide rather to be a kid on the block. Happy miles:thumbup:

            @ all worried about not a worthy upgrade.. It's not always about the power one should really be worried about, there are other things too.. Ever wondered why's that R15's are topping the timing chart in track days when all the competetiors struggle to even tail gate it??

              FIRST you should tell us why your want to change your bike? what you want from your bike? selection criteria?then only we can help you.both CBR and R15 are good bikes. and so is P220.

                Exactly, what is it in the P220 that you do not like? Obviously, that is the drawback which you want to address in your next purchase.

                  we are certainly not talking about track days,the ts lives in a city i guess,where only crawling is permitted not scrapping knees.

                  yeah we do have timing chart for signal to signal drag                  ,where sometimes splendor has the upper hand and r15 tail-gates.

                  @ts,i tell you the brighter side of sticking to 220=you are saving money big time without losing out on fun barring the 'getting-down-on-you-knees-delight',but then city corners are humble enough.

                    Go for CBR 250R ... it's much more faster in Acceleration & top Speed then both R15 &220...

                      I was not obviously talking about he indulging in track days either mate, wat I'm pointing out is the obvious presence of modern day technology in both the bikes he had shortlisted.

                      Btw. In signal drags, I bet even the splendor doesn't have a standing chance against these moto scooters

                        Genuinely Don't buy anything now!! you already spend approx 1L for P220.

                        Now to some facts:

                        P220 has all stufs which are important to a rider while riding or touring i.e Dual Disc, oil Cooled and Projector light.
                        P220 has more power as compare to R15. So if you buy R15 now then the 3 months or habit riding 70cc extra would be a mess here!! You frankly won't enjoy it.

                        R15 Vs CBR 250:
                        Totally different bikes, one is sports then other is Sports Tourer!! If you want to buy a bike which should suit the saga of buying a bike, which should gradually increase in power and Speed, it should be CBR 250.

                        But the question is are you ready again to spend 1.7L or 2.10L ABS???

                        I do understand that R15 has the best looks but why to waste money?? P220 is not so bad that you change it in 3 months.

                        Mind it There are RUMORS of Yamaha Launching R25 or Frazer 250 which would anytime be better than P220 or R15 power wise. So wait for atleast 1 yr and then go for new!!

                        But still Money is itching you then go for CBR eyes closed.

                        Need wise:

                        R15: Highways and Tours
                        P220: Tours, City and Highway.
                        NS200: City as well as Tour.
                        Duke: same as NS200 but more aggresive pickup than any one from above lot!
                        CBR250: City.Highway or Touring.

                          On a lighter note, I would go for RD 350 if I dont know what to do with my money..

                          On topic, I saw P220 in a parking lot.. It dosn't look good..
