Congratz on your Duke. As you owned the RX 100 before, you won't regret your choice with the Duke. Happy and Safe riding
2-3 days waiting period? Wow they have come done pretty low, until now I thought it took 3 months to get delivered. Maybe in my city its like that. Anyone from Chennai can confirm this?

And comfort is same on ZMR or NS200, i din't feel any difference in comfort when i rode it to Panvel and back 30kms-30kms

I personally feel NS200 is way ahead in handling in the two! But NS200 gave 25kmpl average, where as ZMR gave some 35kmpl+ average speed was 100-120kmph.

On highway NS200 is also fun to cut the lanes as compare to ZMR.

NS200 quickly did a 135kmph where as ZMR clocked only 120-125kmph only, does this happens withall ZMR owners ??
Highways or city streets (roads in particular) aren't meant for cutting through lanes! I have been seeing through a few posts Somen bro, but this is the attitude we at xbhp warn about...

DO NOT (NEVER) cut through lanes!!! More so on a highway!

        Your friend is right sir!
ZMR is ages ahead in comfort compared to the 200NS.

Infact try cutting lanes and overtaking on NS on highways it's really a charm!!

I felt NS more better to ZMR would be because NS 200 was responding to throttle quickly then ZMR!!!
Disagree again... The throttle response of an FI equipped bike is always better than a carb'ed bike. Maybe the NS is almost at par; but not better. My building owner has a 200NS and I keep getting short 5-7 km rides every now and then.

What mate??? this is very silly!! Even if start a sign board on our bikes don't overtake or don't exceed 80+kmph still those who wants to overtake or ride fast would do it!! There is nothing you or me can control!! Even we have few under age guys riding bike and posting ride reviews ...lol...even after warning them stil they do!! So nothing can be controlled!!

          ROFL ...lol...
Lane cutting is nothing just to over take other bike or car in repsonsible manner, can we control this dude!! no!! they will do it in repsonsible manner or unmature manner!!
Cutting lanes depends on how mature he is or not dude!!

Nope...Diagreed..if you say ages ahead!! There might be some small difference but not a big leap. But as i ride R15 and ridden ZMR and NS200 for small tours altogether so i can confidently say that There is not that difference.
didn't feel same will riding 50-60kms !! I felt NS200 more comfort on all aspects!!

THere is not hard and fast rule on FI injection Vs Carb injection. There was an article by one senior memeber on FI vs Carb. And it resulted almost same apart from morning start or weekly or monthly start ignition.

NS has any given day better response over ZMR!! Even this could be as NS 200 has good power compare to ZMR!!

Even i have a friend in office who's NS 200 i rode couple of times, latest was 25-30 kms Panvel to Kalyan.

Nothing to say on this if you feel ZMR has better power on highway compare to NS200.

I have owned the ZMR 4 years ago and the Pulsar 200NS recently and let me tell you very honestly that both these bikes aren't worth it. The ZMR is bulky and does feel under-powered on highways; engine heating is another issue on the ZMR due to absence of liquid cooling. The 200NS might appear to be a good bet but my personal experience is that the bike is extremely unrefined and vibey. The vibrations on the NS will irritate you both in the city and on highways. Also in city traffic the NS does feel strained at times. The KTM Duke 200 is the best option.

i too have the same choices in mind for me . have you had a test drive of the thunderbird. this one is a totally different bike and doesn't feel like a normal enfield(like the classics and all) , it handled really well in the traffic for me (im a short guy). Man the matte finished black color of the bike makes it irresistible. You dont actually feel the weight of the bike until u get off it. i took cbr off my list and im left with the duke 200 and thunderbird. Waiting period for the bike is a really big issue and its mostly the reason why ppl refrain from these bikes(will not be an issue for me i could get my bike in 10 - 15 days due to my old booking).

hey man duke has three colors black , white and the orange one. mostly people go for the orange color thats why its so common. i personally like the black more

                  Hi

I would like to answer to the initial question, thunderbird or CBR 250R.

First of all both these bikes are completely different as already mentioned. Thunderbird is a pure cruiser whereas the Cbr is a sports come cruiser bike. I have personally tried out both of them and let me tell you, you are never going to get the peppiness of the Honda engine with the RE one. Riding positions are completely different.

So if you spent most of your time in the city, the CBR would be the best version. Unless and until you are planing for frequent long runs I would not suggest you the RE Thunderbird.
The CBR nicely does the job on both city roads and highways....

Now to those who have come up with 200NS and Duke I certainly feel they are not as good as the CBR and RE when it comes to touring. SO the best option would be to go for the CBR 250R ABS version.

If you want a detailed specification wise comparison of the CBR, thunderbird, 200NS and DUke, you may check this out.
