The On Road Price for SS 125 is rs. 63495/-. And for SZ-R, it is 69K+.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Why calculate mileage benefits.. you saved 6K already!! That's a good looking machine you've got.

Booked SS-125(Black & Blue) yesterday. Will be taking the delivery on Friday. As I've earlier mentioned that this is my first bike, need suggestions on which things to look into while taking the delivery(documentation and bike). Thanks in advance again.

WRT documents you'll get your RC book as an e-card. Other documents would be the insurance which depends from one region to another. I do not have much knowledge about documents but check the kms the bike has run.. My friend's pulsar had run 8kms and they boldly told that 3 guys had ridden it as a test ride bike.. Be careful. Also check for physical damages specially on the mirrors and the silencer..

Good choice, Yamaha Gladiator aka Yamaha SS 125 is a proven bike. What you have chosen is right comparing to SZR.

Got it yesterday. Superb experience till now(36 km.s). Initial thrust(which was supposed to be on a lower side) is quite impressive even in lower RPMs when compared to other 125ccs. My parents are loving its looks. My father is quite impressed by its big bike look and feel. Thank you XBHP! Some friends who are not even aware of this model, is asking why not Glamour or Discover? Can't help them! One query - engine heats up within 10-15 minutes. Is it fine till the first servicing or do I have to change the engine oil right away?

Szr is better comfortwise, but it wont provide 55 kmpl. Ss is a better choice for you. Or else you may consider Suzuki GSR150 (mileage around 45-55). Cuz gsr is an excellent bike.

Don't mind but do you know the difference between a normal bike engine heat and over heat ??

Normally any commuter heats in city if ridden at 2-3 gears.I guess SS has 5 gears, correct me if am wrong?

And getting bike heated little more than usual is normal before 1st service.

Don't know why people don't like SS even after an average of 50-55kmpl+.
                    Congrats !! Enjoy the ride!

Honestly, I don't have too much of idea about the difference between a normal bike engine heat and over heat. It's one of my friend(who owns a Discover 125) who has pointed this out.
Yes, SS 125 has 5 gears. But till now, only 1st-4th gears have been used by me.
                        HAPPY DIWALI TO ALL!!!

                          Hi all,
Back again. Couldn't be here for a long time due to some personal issues. Driven my SS125 for 780 km.s till date. It's been a pleasurable experience I must say. Very smooth riding and great handling too. Seat is comfortable(for the pillion as well - my mother loves riding it). I'd still recommend it as the BEST buy in its class. Though initially the mileage was below 40, after first servicing, it is around 50. Will be back with a full review after at least 1500 kms.
                          MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL !!!

After first servicing, it is giving me around 52-53 kmpl. I drive in and around 60 kmph in highways.

Can anyone let me know about proper battery maintenance (like after how many days/months battery should be charged etc.)?
