How much extra maintenance cost am I looking at if I go with a rear disc as compared to non rear disc bike?
Go with rear disc eyes closed. Most of the mechs in our country are stuck in medieval ages. I still sometimes regret having bought an RTR160 with rear drum(due to my own reason, not a mech's) instead of rear disc. Rear disc DOES make a lot of difference, believe me, both in brake performance and looks.

IIRC, the rear discs of Hunk are Bybre make and brake pads will cost more(Around Rs.1000) compared to front disc pads. Your mechanic may be referring to that. But advise you to go for dual disc version as it gives better braking (you know it )

As you said, You felt 125 CCs underpowered, I advice you,not to go for Hunk without a Test ride. I always feel Hunk is underpowered due to its weight. But yes,its the most comfortable and fuel efficient bike of the lot. Why dont you try out P135?? Its a perfect blend of power(more than Hunk) ,efficiency and techs. If you feel, its a bit cramped, then choose the P180. As you already own a Pulsar,it would be a good upgrade and you will find it easier to take cake of it as well.

If among the rest 3, I would suggest you Xtreme,as its upgraded recently and looks fresh. Also Weights less than Hunk.
How do you say P135 has more power than Hunk, is 14.4 (Hunk) and 13.5 the same?

Don't think about maintenance I made this mistake bought only front disc version and I am paying daily, as a conception I think it should not be it must be both drum or disc because both have different mechanism brake fores towards braking rear disc feel lots of confidence while riding, It matters a lot to me I cant get it fitted I think.

So my advice is don't think about maintenance go for both disc version.

I think he is telling that p135 has better power to weight ratio than hunk,so feels more powerful.

Would you believe it that in a big city like Pune not a single dealer has a Hunk with dual disc brakes? I have visited/called almost all dealer and none of them have any visibility on when one would be available . Most of them say end of December that too no one wants to commit. Really disappointed with Hero here. Basically all of them are trying to get rid of their single disc stock. So friends let me know if it still makes sense to wait for the dual disc option?

Wait or make alternate arrangements. Settle for the dual disc version.
