i am more or less in the same confusion as you (which bike to upgrade too), so hv decided to wait sometime and see the new slew of bikes expected. Also by that time the niggling problems with the 220 would hv been solved, so will have narrowed down the options, hopefully

          thank u guys

I know Zma is the best option on road,Why not R15,P220 or P200 r
1.R15 has a sporty position ,and for my built is not suited for touring (5ft 9in,80kgs)
2.P220 -Good bike for sure buti feel the engine/gearbox is not as refined as a Honda (HH)
3.P200/avenger has a pretty light front end ,and under heavy braking the bikes are are not quite good as Zma (Weight distribution)..correct me if i am wrong

I can wait till Jan end ,FZ16 is a awesome bike and the riding position for my height is perfect for touring i guess.... but the rear seat is too small,if i want to take somebody for short trips of 100kms+ i wont be able to .....

Karizma spares -people say its pretty costly ,like front brake pads cost somewhere around 1.5k+ while other bikes cost 300 bucks so can somebody throw light on this,is it that costly or the difference in prices ???is that true

If U are below 90kgs, then Karizma-R anyday. It is waaay better than any of the Pulsars. If U are heavier, then for touring, a Bullet Lb 500. But the Zma is much more refined, reliable and smoother than the Bull.

Exactly, if fact I noticed that ZMA & CBR 150 have same brake Discs of 276mm!

@ Roshan: See if that 90 kg issue is starting doubt you, let me share my small test ride experience (currently drive P180).

I am 70 kgs & was with another guy (+ 70) = 140 kgs! With such weight on it, it was pulling in 6th gear at 37 constantly, and a throttle spin made it reach 45-50 in few seconds. I was amazed, but then it was a straight road!

On city, if you can manage gear shifts I think it would be best for you... Go for it!

                    Otherwise, P220 & ZMA are 2nd & 3rd choices subjectively ...

R15 is what u r talking about ????......one its a bit more than ma budget....and secondly i dont see it as a tourer.....too much of weight on wrists and all ....not comfortable .....

RTR-Fi---- now how is that bike? ok on refinement this on the lower side compared to a Zma/R15 ....but performance.top end and reliability as a bike ? what are the ratings and i have heard problems with its injector system ????Any info on that............

I think you are now getting into dillema with so many bikes. if you dont like Bajajs, dont want to buy Yams/TVSs and cant wait then i suggest you to get yourself ZMA coz its a time tested machine. And it is blessed with brilliant touring capabilities by Honda.

I currently owned a P220 and ridden ZMA for 2 years - My advice go for ZMA dude , far more better than P220.
As Fi issue you can wait sometime unless any official news about ZMA fi...

there no such issues on the FI system of RTR........

and if you're askin about the performance and power delievery of the machine ask the biking pundits here......
one bike mag even confirmed that it can beat the pants off Zma in a race track provided you know how to drive one.......

My Choice would be ZMA anyday P220 is good in terms of riding posture and power and is good value for money but lack stability in high speed and extreme braking. for your height apache would bit cramped. you have already negated R15 or else that should be next choice but costly.

I would say wait for some more time.

I am onto check the truth, may got to know something hardcore in a day or two.
As i promised i am back with some hardcore news, i am sorry its not heart warming as it was in quoted post, but its not that bad either.

The vehicle desgin, specification everything is final, but commenting on that when it will reach the procuction line could be tough.

But i can make you sure that turaround time wont be killing as development stage is over.
