  • Bike for my friend.

Hey guys. Please help my friend to get rid of his confusion about a bike. Budget 75-85k. He likes short touring and also city-riding and is medium built. Stylish looks and Engine reliability is his primary concern; and he gives priority to performance over mileage. After some discussions, both of us shortlisted some bikes like: Apache160, xtreme, Fazer. So try to suggest one among these three.

You did not include your friend's physical dimensions (height / weight) and prior experience on a motorcycle.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

What about RTR 180 ? how much is it more ?

In what ever budget i would ask a buyer to go with max feature available in that price.

Why Dazzler and RTR 180 is not in list? are they too over 85k ?

On what planet??? The RTR ABS is over 90k. The RTR180 without ABS is 86k in BLR and AFAIK, BLR is the priciest city!
Don't matter what it is: Touring; Racing; Commuting. All I know is, I belong on the saddle.

In Mumbai RTR 180 ABS is approx 94K. If he can pay 85 then surely can push to 94k for an ABS model, which will make him smile all time!!

No it's not. Brakes on the RTR are actually good and progressive.

RTR is not stylish.. Fazer is. If someone wants the most stylish bike in that bracket. It has to be a Fazer.
                  I will give
                  4 out of five to TVS's engine and a 5/5 to a Fazer's.
Performance is 5/5 on TVS and 3.5/5 for Fazer (150 vs 180).
Comfortable riding 5/5 to Fazer 4/5 to RTR.

I dont know about your city but in hyd.. The price for a Fazer is close to 90k.

it is always best to have the bike equipped with abs because it may cost you extra bucks but you may save it in future when you avoid some accidents. infact, abs has to be made compulsory in every bike
