since you are planning on keeping this bike for 4-5 years why not stretch your budget and check out other better options available.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
    #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

I would try to stretch the budget to get 200 ns.If stretching is not at all possibe,
FZ-perfect city bike, handling, comfort top notch. Not great in high ways.
        Apache 160-why bother.Get apahe 180,only 5k difference.a180 has everything better than a160.
Get a180,if you don't mind its riding position.
Get 200 ns if you can stretch.
Get fz if you hate apache riding position, can't stretch.
Other options are 220/karizma r.220 is also worth looking into(5k cheaper than NS)

Exactly what I say to everyone who gets the 160. Here in blr the price difference is 3k. Can't see why TVS even bothers with the 160!!

Well.. Dunno about where you are.. But in blr otr price of 160 is 83k. N 180 is 86k. In Mumbai it's 76 n 80. So it shouldn't make much of a difference. You'll get the 180 within 80-81k as long as you're not in Bangalore.

The price difference of 3k-4k is not much. You should go with RTR180 for more better feel and performance!
If you can wait and save more 10K then i guess at 94K you get an ABS model, which is the best!!

You know what would make an ideal bike for me and 1000000 others in India?
An FZ with apache 180 engine.
                      Super handling,breaking,comfort,power!
Is that even possible?I have seen some engine swaps like rd350 engine in FZ, then a180 engine would be a piece of cake, right?

My Bad bro! But still try to convince your parents, let them know the advantages of ABS, I am sure mostly all parents would agree for ABS model due to safety features! Else RTR 180 is also good.

.i would say settle with apace 180 or pulsar 220.i would have chosen the later,a further stretch will fetch you shiny new 200 ns
