Already took a test ride of CBR250... Sitting posture is sportier that P220 looking to test ride P200NS...

But again i am more concerned about reliability and performance as i am planning for Laddakh in june this year... So looking for bike suitable for that tour and my daily use as well...

For hill areas you need a good amount of power & torque to ride in low gears smoothly. Overheating of CBR is due to its water cooling system unlike oil cooked of Pulsar. I am not the right person to choose your ride. We can only share our experience. Finally you have to choose your ride. Just follow your heart & buy whatever you want. If you like a bike then buy it. whatever you buy make sure you just don't regret buying it.take for example you really liked a bike but bought something else. one day it goes past you while you riding you new bike and then you wish you bought the one that you liked.! so whatever you buy buy with your heart

        All I'd say is LOL!

        CBR is liquid cooled.
Liquid is not always water my friend. Also, engine bays do get heated more in faired bikes w.r.t naked ones. P220 is not faired, hence it heats up less. CBR being fully faired, heats more; but all in all, your friend's CBR has a problem; or else you're exaggerating. In no condition does a CBR heat up so much that you wait for it to cool down.

Anyways, @ TS - CBR 250R is a sports tourer, really VFM. You'd not get a few features in ZMX series, PXXX series etc.
But, do TR the Duke once.

I know liquid cooled is not always water, its coolant but dont know why my friends say lets take a break my CBR needs a rest. I agree you are much experienced then me & you know the technical sides better. I am just sharing my experience in last two tours. Undoubtly CBR is a good bike but I will always advice it for plain roads ( i mean good roads ) not for rough terrain. Pulsars Can go anywhere.

Yes, I agree to the last part. You can take a Pulsar anywhere and you might think once before you take the CBR over to the same place. But, trust me; CBR does the same destinations and terrains with more aplomb.

Had tried that but honestly its more filled with complements than actual ride and usability review or experience.

Finally today after reading lot of pages started getting some good reviews....

CBR is a good bike on long routes. We have done long tours on this bike riding upto 16hrs on a single day. Let me confirm we faced the overheating problem only twice so far that is also due to continuous uphill ride for 3-4hrs on bad rough road on low gears.

But my concern is why particularly CBR on those condition not other bikes ??? As looking forward for the Laddakh so it may be a problem...Can u please confirm with your friend that if the problem is because of some fault or the bikes nature.. . As in owners Xp a few owners also faced similar heating problem but that because of something wrong with the bike which can be corrected...

Please go through the plentiful triplogs of CBR owners who have taken their CBRs to Ladakh. None of them reported any overheating AFAIK.

@Bindass Axomia: Your friend's bike has some kind of an issue if it is overheating so easily. Please suggest him to get the bike checked at the ASC.

Yes may be there was some problem that day & may not happen to other bikes. Actually he brought his brand new bike after two weeks purchase for the trip. I am not sure that even he did his first servicing. The fan of the CBR was running for sometime so we decided to have a break.

If the ride was done in Run in period, that explains a lot.

Re: Need Suggestion for new bike after Avenger 220

Its quite late but i may help someone making decision. I bought CBR 250 with ABS back in 2013.

And Mile Muncher is simply awesome. Bike is comfortable, No overheating on long and hill routes.

Good comfort. You can strech it on 100 to 130 all day long. I did it once already.

And yes i did off-roads too.

Thanks you guys for helping me making a good decision.
