Looks like you didn't get the point...
Definitely unwanted - Picking up Melroy's name, especially when he's not around & I don't need to tell you back what it is calledOriginally posted by antz.bin View Post

There is a certain amount of risk when buying a second hand bike.Be sure that you get to save some good amount of bucks in case of CBR,or else go for a new one.
Having said that I got Apache 180 second hand after tonnes of research, saved almost 40k,from that of new one."Vibes transmitted from crank shaft to frame, then through the bearings of the head stock and into the stem where it meets the triple clamp and into the clip-ons where it is greeted with great pleasure by my hands"-ratfighter mod rtr

Hmm.. this is something out of the box, we have both agreements and disagreements here.
I can afford a new CBR 250, but i also do look at value for money. I was kind of thinking on a different perspective.
Considering Sellers with genuine reason to sell their bike.
Buyers like me would not even consider a used CBR 250, if its anything near 20-25k within the new bike's price. And considering that buyers of premium bikes would be very few. And anyone buying a premium bike would be well aware of the poor resale value.
Now if a 2012 CBR is on sale for about 1.3-1.4L, clocking 5k kms or less, it would be a good deal for me... Only risk is to identify a good piece which might be a problem for me.
