Not much! The first service will only cover oil and oil filter change, and minor niggles with the bike, such as loose bolts etc. Plus, they will just give your bike a wash and that's it. If you have faced any minor niggles with the bike, make sure you bring it to their notice before the service and make sure it's written down on the jobsheet.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

1.Make sure they change engine oil...have heard stories that some service centres just top it up

        2. You can stay away from engine flushing/ chain treatment if being offered to you. Its just waste IMO.

So need nothing to do with the chain, like lubricating the chain?

Also stay away from the so-called "Teflon Coating" they offer. It's nothing but plain old wax polish.

Your's being a closed/covered chain, cleaning will not be required so soon. You can always ask them to lube it...

For closed chains, you may lube them once every month, or whenever you take the bike for a proper wash. No harm in a bit of lube, except for the drips!
For open chains, it's an entirely different story, though!

Here in Bajaj servicing center they don't have their own engine oil. They told me to bring Castrol Activ 4T. Is it good enough?

What is the grade of oil used in your bike? If it is 20W40, then Gulf Pride 4T Plus 20W40 or Shell Advance AX5/AX7 are much better choices compared to Castrol.

That's 20W40 grade. Go for Gulf Pride Plus or Shell Advance. Make sure the grade is 20W40. Using a different grade of oil may damage your engine.

Mineral or synthetic? Which one is better for a 100cc 4 stroke bike? I think these r all mineral engine oils.

Life of a bike depends upon the riding style & maintainance. If you ride a bike gently & do its service in recommended period any bike will last forever

Go for mineral oil only, its cheaper and better for engine run in . Once bike has done say more than 4000-5000 KMs , then you can put synthetic oils.

Done my first servicing. Its giving same mileage(around 60).Is it a matter of concern? Or should I wait for the second servicing.
