According to them the new model doesn't have any major issues which the previous version had. I need a concrete answer to shut them up before they brainwash me. 😩😫

    Hmmm... let me tell you.

I rode the new TB350 for around 15kms in RE OneRide.

Saw it throughly as I was wondering if they have improved the quality or not.

    The welcome changes:

Height of the bike has been decreased, tires widened, front shocks are broader, rear disk brakes, split seats. N other cosmetic changes. Plus the digital console.
    Better handling than b4.

    Now the bare facts:

    Its a fools gold.

I mean, go and check the quality. It screams "Cheap".

The buttons on the console are downright cheap. You go to the showroom and just push any button on the console, you will feel like you are pushing a button of a roadside chinese toy.

Plus, the whole console looks cheap. Seriously, feel it to believe me.

Yes it does handle better than the older TBTS because of the mentioned reasons, but its not a drastic change and not even a lightyear near the CBR250R.

Core of the bike remains the same. Same engine. Same electricals. Same wires. Same clutch and gear. Same service center. Same Royal Enfield. Same headaches.

Your friends will surely pressurise you like they are doing with me in not selling my bike. Be firm and decide on yourself.
Take a test ride and inspect the quality.

Will you marry a girl your friends tell you to?

    Think.

    Choose wisely.

All I want is to save people as I myself got cheated and feel like its the best and only thing I can do.

You buy a RE because you want a RE (this applies to any Royal Enfield). If you are thinking about another bike. Buy the other bike.

I my opinion, the two are incomparable on handling and performance. I guess your decision should be based on two things:

      1. The posture you perfer to be in for the 34kms you commute everyday and the one you'd prefer on a long ride
      2. The kinds of riding you'd like to do for the 34 kms of your daily commute.

You've had a pimped up ZMA. I think you should be leaning towards the CBR 250. The TBird is too sedate for you. The CBR is no scorcher, but it'll give you more of a rush than the TBird.

        Yes! Thats the point!

You buy RE because you want RE..... for legacy, "dug dug dug" crowd magnet, feel....

For everything else, you buy a better bike with the latest tech and uber engineering...

There is no point in buying it as your only bike and if regular service center trips are not in your mind.....

Also, CBR250R is a very neat machine, I can say that because I have been studying it for last few months...

It has a sports touring posture....not too aggressive like the R15...and not too straight like the Duke 200..... will not make you feel like a tool on long rides... its one of the most ass friendly bikes..

        Take a test ride....

Decide with your brain, heart will cheat you here......

Corwd magnet??? As compared to what, the oh don't look at me, fully faired, i am guessing red motocylce that he is probably going to buy and probably you are going buy. Dude, ditch the flaming. You bought a lemon, deal with it.

Answer the man's question with objectivity basis requirements and his purchase history. Not with gross biasness. You say you have studied the bike for month, therefore instead of flaming, inform/educate the TS as to what makes the the CBR250R such a neat bike.

What I was trying to tell the TS what that, when you buy a particular bike, it is also a lifestyle that you buy into. This lifestyle choice is only amplified when choosing a RE.

There are many members on this forum who have toured on the D200, R15, C500, C350, TB500, TB350, TBTS, Splendor, P220...you get my drift. I do not think any of them feel like a tool when they complete a long day of riding. Be objective, and most of all be courteous.

First of all. I did not mean to offend anyone. if anyone feels that way, I am sorry.

            But the point still remains.
I am not biased. I have the first hand experience of the ride he is willing to purchase and have shared my UNBIASED thoughts with him.

What is there for me in all this? I mean, if he rejects RE, will Honda pay me?

I have already given him technical issues information about the TBird....
CBR250R needs no introduction... there are enormous amount of reviews... all are positive...

            Peace out.

Mods, this is the last OT post from me.

Brother, you quote me and then say you don't mean to offend anyone.

Anyway I guess its human nature to focus on the negative, hence you provided him with the issues of the Tbird and not the positives of the CBR.

Hope you get a ride soon.

I never meant to point you or anyone else. Do not take this personally.
I was talking about the riding posture of R15. Its simply not for touring. In fact people take it anywhere but that doesn't mean it becomes a tourer. Also Duke200 has stiff seats and suspension that makes it not perfect for touring. While it even goes to leh...

                Facts remain facts.

                No offence to anyone!

As far as I know, HMSI doesn't seem to have any plans of launching the Repsol CBR 250 R in India. I don't think they will ever launch it. We were expecting some new colors for 2013, but even that is still to come and we have almost reached Q3 of 2013. But CBR 250 is a good bike overall and it will be even better if you can get the C-ABS version. You have taken a wise decision.
