  • What bike shoot me RTR 150 or Pulsar 200 NS?

Hello every body!! Greetings from Srilanka.

I'm 160cm 5ft 3in (With out shoes ) and a proud owner of the first version of RTR160
I know i'm short but sadly i don't have any bike which support to my height with some what sporty look.

I really like the sitting position of my RTR and also the clip on handles. I never had any issues with the sitting position. I tried CBZ and pulsar 180 latest version still prefer the RTR for the aggressive position.

now i'm going to sell my RTR 160 and get a new bike since i have ran more than 20000km and bike doesn't look good. I went to the tvs show room, now they have the new RTR 150 and RTR 180. I really need a good sitting position and lightweight design. So i omitted the 180 because other than CC and ABS both look the same. You might be wondering what is RTR 150? Yes it is available in our country and they said RTR 160 is no more available. When compare RTR 150 and my old RTR 160 150 seems bit dull sitting position. But i found out the saddle height has been reduce which is a good thing for me.

I also seen the pulsar 200NS but not tried it . But i like the look. Now i want to know which bike will suit me.

    200NS or 150 RTR
I know it is not fair comparition. But here i'm comparing which will suit me.

    1) I need a sporty sitting position (I never get back pain because of sporty position)
    2) Must look compatible and nice for my height. I'm 52kg 160cm
    3) Pick-up / top speed doesn't matter. But must survive on high RPM
    4) I think RTR 150 will be fuel efficient. Am i right?

    Query Approved

At 5'3" the 200NS might be a bit too big for you.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

The Pulsar 200NS doesn't have sporty riding position, but you should take a test ride on it. It is a good bike.
Coming to the RTR, AFAIK, RTR150 is nothing but RTR160 sold with a 150 sticker. As you already have ridden 160 for 20K km, take a look at RTR180 ABS instead of RTR150. You'll get a slight power boost with ABS.
As you like sporty position, why have you not tried Yamaha YZF-R15? Is it not available there?

I think there's only one choice then: THE YAMAHA R15!!
How could you miss that?? The smartest, fastest and most reliable kid on the block in that segment! Look no further, if I was with your height, I would have gone for it.

          try yamaha R15.

btw, why do you want to change a bike that has run only 20,000 kms.

            Thanks for your replies friends!!

For the ones who recommend R15

I omitted it because of the small Tyre size.

But i have never show that in person or tested it.
Since you all are recommending it I will go and check it out.

What about the fuel efficiency compare to RTR 150?

For the people recommend RTR 180 ABS

I don't need that extra power and ABS. RTR 150 sitting position is same and also light weight compared to 180. Also 150 gives more mileage

Now the choices are two then R15 vs RTR 150
in the aspect of below two points
            1) Must look compatible and nice for my height. I'm 52kg 160cm
            2) I think RTR 150 will be fuel efficient. Am i right?

RTR and R15 return similar mileage (kmpl) figures under sane riding.
Both bikes have same tire sizes - 17 inches. R15 has beefier tires though!

              I'd suggest R15.

may be R15 V2 has not reached his country till now, and he is talking about V1.

i think RTR150 should give more mileage than R15, i think.

Since he says he left off R15 because of its skinny tires.. i believe R15 V2 is not available for sale till now in Sri Lanka.. he would love the R15 V2

What's to laugh ...? I'm also 85 and 5'10 but don't have any tummy or belly looking over ...(may be it's my density) coming to your scene there is difference of around 10k in p180 And 220 ,And as even a child will know 220 is best ,so it depends upon only money factor, whether you want 220 or 180( don't buy 180 ,too old and its like everyone runs on street with them)

                            Thanks bro...

Lets suggest him something which is really nice for him.

He might/not know much about NS200 but the fact is NS200 is way ahead of P220 and P180 is out of question.

P220 and NS200 are priced almost same. So, Isn't it's better to choose VFM for his money.

In 1L I see NS200 to be more VFM and logical. His height is also suitable for NS200. Better engine than P220.

If you see this out of scope then surely suggest him something which is really good for him.

                            Ultimately it's his choice mate.

I won't speak what he wants to hear but I would speak which is really genuine for the price and requirement. Later it's his choice.

Hi Mahinthan So, I read some of the comments above and if you are stuck between the NS and RTR 150 only, I would vote for the RTR.
I personally prefer the 180 but that's me not you. My vote -RTR150.
