  • Help me to choose a bike?

    Hi,

I'm currently having Yamar SZ-R. Which returns a decent 45Km/Ltr in city trafic.
Now, I decided to change by bike from Yamar to Bajaj 125ST, because of low millage.

I have read lot of reviews over Net. In that some of them said its a good bike returns millage
around 55-60Km/Ltr in city conditions & give 60-65 in High way. Also with 13Nm torque it gives
good power & handling is good.

But, Lot of them said it was giving average of 45Km/Ltr even after 2nd service & back tyre is very thin. Back tyre is more shaking,
Engine is over heating, power is not adiquate & cause more maintenance cost.

Im very confused & having concern to select this bike. Please give your guidance for me.

    Regard,

    A.Elango

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

        Hi Elango,

Irrespective of what people say there are many factors that would dictate how efficient a bike is in the hands of a biker. The same bike can give different mileage per liter when used by different people ( With all other factors being constant). If Best fuel efficiency is your only concern look at the good old 100cc bikes from Hero moto or Honda Motor. They are more consistent and proven engines.

        Best regards,

Hey Elan! Old is gold! There are reasons why you are selling away your bike. Try to revive it and keep it as you already know the bike well. I had my Bajaj Pulsar with me for 9years before selling it off.

Anyways, the mileage, maintenance, cosmetics and other factors varies from user to user. While you may not get enough mileage in the bike your friend can get higher mileage. It depends on lot of factors.

A new bike is very similar to a new born baby. You need understand it, stay with it, nourish and take good care and more of a preventive maintenance until you and your bike get in sync. This may sound weird but read it twice or thrice and you will understand. Take care of it today and the bike will never let you down.
            Key = Patience and Passion!

I personally would recommend Mahindra Centuro. New comer, proven existence in 4 wheeler sector, competitive pricing, attractive features and good mileage (though it says 85kmpl, the least you can get is 70kmpl). Availability of spares should not be an issue. Go head take a test drive and you will vote for it.

            Good luck!

Getting angry at somebody is the same as getting angry with a bike that just won't go. You should stop and start thinking.
