  • Need Advice to buy new Bike

    Hi all,
I am going to buy new bike. I am not tall man(medium height only). My requirement is need pickup, speed, long drive, and comfort.
Already I have own yamaha rx 135 5 speed. but, recently yamaha bikes are looks big size which I will hate as I am medium height person. So, I have decided to go for bajaj avenger 220.

Pls guide me which is best engine yamaha or bajaj. If yamaha released any bike like bajaj avenger with max cc..

    Thanks
    R. Eswaran.

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

What is your proper height and what is you budget. . ? BTW if you are going with pulsar, then why don't you wait for some more time to see if the much expected Pulsar375 will suit you, I think that has all your requirements. . . Engine wise Yamaha is the best but looking at Bajaj, we have been seeing good improvement from them too now, so why don't you wait and see and also Hero are also coming with some good 250cc bikes which you can try out. . . For the things you said, the CBR brothers seem the best, though R15 has all the other things you need except comfort. . . So, you can try them out and also consider 200NS too. . .

      Cheers!!!
      Yamaha Rx135 - 2005 - 2007 (stolen )
      Scooty Pep - 2008 - 2012 (sold)
      Honda Unicorn - 2012 - 2015 (crashed)
Hero Honda Splendor+ 2015 - present (temporary ride)
      Bajaj Pulsar AS200 - 16th September 2015 - present ride

      10 years into riding :D

Just waiting for a bike to be launched or to be confirmed is all dependent how long can you wait. But I would suggest NS200 is much better bike than Avenger. Then it comes to P220/ZMR for touring later on Avenger comes into picture.Today all companies are geared up for better engines. So don't worry on that.

Avenger would help you big time while touring. It would also help in city if you are not a zip-zap kinda guy. It is easy on maintenance and would put a smile on your face everytime you ride it. BTW, I own an Avenger as well. As for the pillion seat comfort, you need to add little more padding to rear seat cushion and broaden it up for added comfort.
