    Yamaha FAZER or BAJAJ P220?? plz suggest.....

    Hi All,

    I want to buy my First Bike,

    My daily ride will include both city and highway driving.     I am 5'11".
    I am bit confused in between YAMAHA FAZER and BAJAJ P220.

    Please suggest which one to go for.

      Performance wise, P220 is quite ahead on the Fazer, but again you won't get the refinement offered by Yamaha. Both these bike's are very good indeed for the kind of riding you want to do. But the P220 will also give you the occasional rush of adrenaline.

      Looks are again obviously subjective, and i prefer the design of P220 over the Fazer.

      If i were you, i would be looking at the 200NS, as it will bring you the best of both worlds. (Performance and refinement.)

        There is no doubt that P220 is much superior in terms of performance compared to Fazer (21.5bhp vs 14bhp). Torque is also better for P220. Fazer is slightly better in terms of comfort and Yamaha's engine refinement is always a level above Bajaj. Fazer is being positioned as a tour-er, but it runs out of gas on highway (can barely manage a top speed of 115kmph). P220 is a perfect in this department, performs equally well in city and on highways.

        So if you are happy cruising at 90-100 kmph on highway and looking for a slightly better mileage, then go for Fazer. Else P220 wins hands down.

        As mentioned by TBTS-350 in the above post, 200NS is a better choice, if you can give the fairing a miss.

            If you want adrenaline rush then go for the P220 but if you want comfort and great engine go for fazer

                Yes that's right, you can cruise @ 100kmph without much loss in FE (personally i get 32kmpl after riding for 3 hours @100-120 continuous from pune to Belgaum )

                  FE depends on your riding style and adherence to periodic maintenance.

                  Personally, I feel that the bikes of your choice are similar in someway. They both have salient features to boast proudly. If you have no other choices in mind, go for the bike that gives you the best riding posture(feel it) and discounts/offers by the respective dealer. I recommend P220
