I must say that when I was looking for buying a bike, I had almost the same expectations as yours. I wanted a bike that is an all-rounder. It had to be good on power, comfortable in long rides and comfortable for pillion. Mileage was not a big concern for me. After several test rides, opinions, suggestions.. i finally settled down for a P220. It's been 6 months, and the midnight black beast has never given me a chance to complain.

I understand that most of the bikes you've listed are fresher and use modern advanced technologies, maybe that's why the P220 hasn't made it to your list. But, worst case, if you finally decide to get a ZMR, don't go for it. Get a 220 instead and you'll be a happier man.

    Hope it helps.

    Regards,
    Munmay

since you are willing to shed till 1.5L, try and get some more and get cbr250.. It would truly be an upgrade for you.. Just my opinion..
as for what you have mentioned and for your requirements.. Karizma looks like the best bet..
I love the cbr 250 more than any one in that segment but my parents can't afford one.
I am looking forward for taking test rides of Duke 200, Cbr 150 and ZMR then i would decide.

I have recently passed college and i want to buy a bike in the range of 90,000 to 1.5 lac max OTR. The bike would mainly be used for daily commute but i also want to take it to long rides on weekends.

I have selected a few bikes in this range which are:-
        1. Honda CBR 150R - I would suggest this personally for your looking at your usage. . .
        2. Yamaha R-15 v2 - No it will be a pain in long run. . .
        3. KTM Duke 200 - Again NO it's more of a street bike and if you are taking any pillion, it'd be a bad bike for long. . .
        4. Pulsar 200 NS - Mmmmh let me just saw it as 50:50 from my side. . . Cos it's a good bike, value for money and it can cruise at high speeds without much stress. . . But a naked bike on a highway, isn't always a good idea. . .
        5. Hero Karizma ZMR - Ok this one's cool but looks too big, that's my opinion I think if you are a tall guy, it'd suit you but again going with the price and more features offered by other bikes, I wouldn't suggest you this. . .

I currently have a 2011 Hero Passion Pro.

I personally like the cbr 150r but having done some googling, I found out that it has low quality switch gear and the torque is low. Please come out of it, low quality switch gears and low torque, that's nothing to do with the performance of the bike. . . If you ride in a big traffic place, then don't go to it as in congested traffic, you'll have bad time with it's torque, rest all times it's a beautiful machine, . . Trust me, once you get the hang over it, it's simply beautiful to ride. . .
Yamaha r-15 v2 I feel is a bit of more sporty and it cannot be taken on long rides. Agreed, if you are ready to sacrifice comfort, then please go ahead, another of the best machines I have ridden. . .
About P 200NS I found that its tyres are of a hard compound and it skiddes on wet roads easily. Yes those tires skid in wet surface, but you can switch to a soft compound if you want after you buy it, may be Revz will serve you right. . .

So i need to find which would be the perfect ride for me.
Answers in bold, hope I made it clear, personally looking at all, CBR150R will be a good ride to choose IMO, considering comfort, tours and daily commute. . .

        Cheers!!!

Thanks for the advice. Doing some research on ownership forums of xbhp i found that every bike has its own sets of pros and cons and since i have seen the cbr 150, it has made a special place in my heart.
But after coming across its cons like high price, low quality switch gear, low torque i was confused as if my choice is good or bad.
But now i feel that i should test ride CBR 150, Duke200 and ZMR and then decide what would suite me.

              No offence taken.
Now, keeping an eye on your expectations, if you ask me to choose a bike for you, that'll suit all your expectations, I'll vote for the Karizma ZMR.

P.S.: I had forgot to mention 1 thing though.. like you, even I had upgraded from a 110cc TVS Victor after my college life

You can get good used CBR250 well within your budget, if you are fine with used bike.
In my city 1 year old under 10k km are going for 1 lac.
If you want new and pillion is not a concern then go for duke200. This is the best you can get in this price point.

Come on mann I can't explain the same here as well, I have given a complete explanation about the cost of the CBR150R in another thread and first remove of the above two said things, high price and low quality switch gear, the higher price of the CBR150R is mainly comes because of it's engine which is a DOHC engine which is way advanced than that of R15's and others. . . It's a good buy for your price tag. . . Of course, low quality switch gear is a disappointment to look at but it's got nothing to do with the bike's performance and about low torque, that's what I said if you live in a place which is crowded with traffic everywhere then better not go for it as that's where you feel bored shifting gears every now, that's where a Duke 200 or a 200NS will feel good but as you said you love to hit the highways, that's where this belongs, just ride 'em all and get back to us with your review. . . Again as someone commented if you are okay with used bikes, better go for a good condition CBR250R, I bet you'll get a very good one for that price tag. . . Rest all is left for you. . .

                      Cheers!!!

@TS : Don't know why you haven't included a RE in your list . Out of your list ZMR is most suitable for you, stylish, stable, reliable and very comfortable. But, if you looking for some adrenaline rush go for Duke 200, technically very advanced and trendy and very much VFM.

how about adding rtr 180 ABS to the list ?
                          Its stylish
A decent mileage (40-45 in city)
last but not least its got ABS !

and it fits your budget ~97k (on road) .
