Welcome to xBhp mate

for the requirements mantioned, mostly city rideing and ocassional tours.. I would recommend FZ.. Priced at around 82-83k, decent mileage of 35-40km/L, it has good acceleration and the power in its class..
and you can look at LS2 helmets in the range of 3k and studds/steelbird are also vfm..

FZ seems to the best bet for you , It's has good looks , Handles well , Power is also good with FE and smooth engine.

It's also within your budjet , so FZ it is for you.

The FZ or even the Honda CB Trigger will probably suit what you need.

Sorry for that error. Looking at the budget and requirements, you would do well to get yourself a Hero Impulse or a Yamaha FZ. If you need more something powerful, you could also look at the RTRs.

I was also in the same situation many months before.And I researched on xbhp,went through almost all ownership threads,test rode every thing in and below my budget and finally got RTR 180.So I would suggest the same to you.Now that the older gen is also available.As far as FZ is concerned,for the power it produce mileage is way too low.
No other bike in this price will give you the perfect mix of handling,performance and FE.Ofcourse there are vibes..test ride and see whether you can handle it or not.
Or if you are ok with less performance get trigger.....
Helmet:for 2k studds scorpion,3k range LS2
Jacket:Spartan Icarus for 4.5k or helios for 6.5k

Fz will be a good choice man. And about the helmet you can go for LS2 and riding gear you can go for either spartan Helios or rjays.

Buy pulsar 220 .best for u . It has all . FE 35-38kmpl . Power . Road presence .
One of my friend purchased last month price was 81k . N 4k for registration . There is a diffrence of 2k if u buy from probiking zone .(cheap at probiking)

Its maintainance is also affordable .u can also get it serviced from outside of svc.

200ns is also good but out of ur budget . Its around 91-93k .without registration. Also paid service cost more than p220.
Also its difficult to get serviced from outside . They guys dont understand its system .

Rtr :-personally i dont like it doesnt have road presence like 220. No offence intended.

Buy Bajaj Pulsar 180, Good for commuting and can go on tours too, FE would be around 40-45KMPL. Buy the helmet soon as you should always wear a helmet while riding two wheelers. LS2 FF351 fits your budget perfectly. Good thing about Pulsars is that you can easily convert a P180 into P150 or P200 if needed (The old DTSi version, not NS) just by swapping the cylinder, piston and head.

Are yaar u ar in delhi and want a helmet to purchase , take from me without any cost . I got it as mandatory acces when i purchased my szr last year. Till now not used atall lying sealed back. It is a isi brand... For qualiy i cant comit.

If u buy p220 or p180 let me know i am also looking for new bike

Go for fzs it has perfect handling, good power and great looks, FE is 35-45 depends on riding, you could also look into rtr 180

The on-road prices of P220 F, Karizma R and RTR ABS will slip a little out of your stated budget of 85k. That one screen shot above is to prove my point.

Let's make a name count and I will add my personal opinion to the bikes:

Bike within your budget	Engine Capacity (cc)	My Personal Opinion

P 180	180	It is the best bet in your budget, with a good mix of performance, FE and easy maintenance
RTR 180	180	It is a high revving performance machine and fun to drive but has inherent vibration issues and therefore not good for long drives at all
RTR 160	160	It has the same story as the RTR 180
P 150	150	Very good machine and a segment benchmark for its eager engine. You see it around everywhere you see. Better FE than P 180 and a less power
Suzuki GS 150R	150	I guess it has the most refined engine of all the bikes with very very less vibrations. This bike has everything that you will need but the aesthetics of this bike and lack of Suzuki consciousness among consumers has caused a mild response to this bike
FZ/FZ-S/Fazer	150	A very fine machine from yamaha to make its market, it has a super fat rear to have the best handling of all 150 cc Indian bikes. But there is a compromise on FE on this bike
SZ	150	A relatively cheaper 150 cc bike from Yamaha. It will have a mild power delivery and better FE. Discover 150 can be counted as its prime competitor.
Honda CB Trigger	150	A bike with the proven engine of the Unicorn => Generous FE on a 150 cc bike and a no-nonsense smooth engine.
Hero CBZ xtreme	150	A good engine but this is not an exciting machine I think and so is the case with Hero Hunk

If I have to pick up a bike then I will go ahead with the P180 (approx 80k on road in Gujarat) and use the rest of the money to pick up a good ECE/DOT certified helmet and a pair of motorcycle gloves. I suggest you should get in touch with the Gujarat xBhp guys to get address of shops for the helmet and gloves. You may even ask them to accompany you to shop if at all possible.

Please tag me again when you are done with all these to discuss about the riding gears.

What abt higher maintaince....

ppls always pulsar needs special care similar like bullet. How much true is that?

Infact i had p150 2007 model at 27000 km i had do engine work whole. That even when i kept like babby.
