jammbuster, did you check the Pulsar 135 LS? It's somewhat powerful. That's why I said you should consider it. Looks good too.
Btw, why is everyone so fond of Honda Shine? Seriously, I wish to know what's so special about that bike. Somebody please enlighten me. Or is it like Complan? Everybody recommends it
.

Re: Bike within 65000rs (fixedbudget)
Regarding the pillion, Stunner is doing fine for me for combined weight of 130kg, given that nearly half my riding is with a pillion. However, I gave a ride to my dad having a combined weight of 165, and Stunner was rough but then the rear shocks were on setting 2 and can go up till 3. According to the manual, the maximum passenger and rider combined weight should not exceed 170kg.
I would also mention here that if a pillion wants to sit with both legs one side, Stunner is not a bike to go for. I will never ever let my girl sit like that because of safety issues, but she did try sitting like that once and it was awful for her!
You can recommend Pulsar 135LS, but keep in mind that the seat real estate is much less compared to Stunner. You can also recommend Honda Shine, it's kerb weight is 8-9 kgs lesser than Stunner with a similar engine. It would be able to take occasional 180 just fine, I believe. Also, the seating seems more comfy than 135LS. You might also look at the Discover 100 and 125ST - both bikes have large seating area while having new 4-valve DTSi which would help with the higher combined weight.

Re: Bike within 65000rs (fixedbudget)
If you want to buy a smooth, powerful and reliable 125cc, go for Yamaha SS125. Power is way better than Shine. 5 gears and seating arrangement is best in class. Sometimes, I have to go to the local market with 3 persons including me and at least 15 kg.s of additional weight. It never complains. Also, being a Yamaha product, you don't have to spend sleepless night thinking about quality and performance.
If you are thinking about a 150cc, go for the SZ series with your eyes closed as it falls under your budget.
Take a test ride and decide.A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Re: Bike within 65000rs (fixedbudget)
Yes i have no doubt abt yahama engine refinement as well as quality. I do have szr in past. But the mileage is the only issue. Infact i am going thru ownership thread of ss where many user complaint for low mileage (45kmpl)....... Why must ppls aginst for stunner. It look sexy to me specially i red & yellow color. Still even.today i saw many new stunner (high security no plates) on road as compared to any other 125cc bikes....Originally posted by krishna77 View PostIf you want to buy a smooth, powerful and reliable 125cc, go for Yamaha SS125. Re: Bike within 65000rs (fixedbudget)
Yes definitely Stunner is a good bike. But the split seat is not comfortable for ladies/elderly people. And vibration above 60kmph is an issue.
And Yamaha bikes are not known for their mileage(you as a previous owner know that better than me
). I am getting around 49-50 kmpl within Kolkata city and around 55 kmpl in highways. And from my very little knowledge regarding bikes, I can say, the 3 kmpl less mileage as compared to the others in class goes a long way securing the engine and overall biking experience. Last week, I rode a recently serviced 22 year old RX100 which was driven for more than 1,30000 km.s and abused like anything. I know, nobody will believe me but the thrust and pickup I got will even put to shame even a Pulsar 150!
Still, go with what your heart says. Best of luck!!!
