One of my friend's friend is selling his 2 yr old Karizma ZMR for 70K. Distance run is 13k+ and all documents cleared. Is this bike a good VFM or I should ask for little less price or I shouldn't consider buying it.

Also p200 ns is out of my budget range. On road price in Siliguri, Kolkata is close to 120k+. Or else I wouldn't have second guessed it taking without considering the bike height.

Please suggest for second hand Karizma Zmr.

Thanks and Cheers..
ZMR is a great option at the price you are getting. It is very comfortable for touring, has decent power and is maintenance free. But considering your height, I am not sure if it will suit you.
Take a loongish test drive to see if it feels ok.

P200NS at 120K+!!! In Pune the on road is about 95K. How come so much difference?

In my opinion its better to go for a brand new apache rtr 180 abs. It has better brakes and handling than karizma and fuel economy is good too plus it has got abs. Lastly, if you love fairing then zmr is the way to go otherwise rtr 180 is a better option.
Thanks for suggestion, I never have a thought for rtr 180. Will definitely visit showroom once.

P220 is a good deal too but would be a bit heavy for you i suppose and pillion comfort isnt very good. Then there is the pulsar 180.. good bike but seems out of context these days. Fz and fazer are great bikes but are a bit underpowered for their price point.

Honda bikes are good but its better to go with an hero extreme. The only down side of the extreme being the lack of monoshock. Upside being the vast hero service network and availability of spares.

Wonder how my p220 has lasted 70,000 kms and my classic p180 lasted for 1,20,000 kms.
Thanks Vibhu for suggestions. I am considering bike good for touring n decent height. But I am afraid extreme height is too extreme for me.

A P200NS would be a bit more, if not a lot of power to handle at times. So I won't recommend the NS.
The Karizma ZMR is a very good tourer. But it being a big bike, is difficult to maneuver in traffics, u-turns, tight parking spots.. So that also I would not recommend.
Second thoughts.. Honda has come up with a cousin for the Fz. It's the Trigger. It offers everything that the Fz has. Shaddle height is also low. It has a smoother engine than the Fz and offers rear disc brakes too. But its a little bit low on power and a bit more on pricing as compared to Fz. You may test ride that too.
Third thoughts.. TVS apache. Its light and sporty. Power is definitely better than Fz/Trigger. It handles good and is a good bike overall.

In order of preference considering all your needs..
1. Fz (best match for you)
2. Trigger (is almost same as Fz)
3. Apache RTR 160 (a better performer)

Have test rides. And do post what you finally decide.

P.S.: I missed the fact that you had chosen Fazer, not Fz. Noticed it after I made my suggestions. Anyways, Fazer and Fz have everything is common except the front fairing.
Thanks @munmay for giving one up for fazer. Although I am still biased now on zmr or fazer. Need to test drive Fazer. Then I will decide if I can still think of going for it in future.

But the RTR is NOT a perfect bike,it does come with a few "traits" & problems.. A good mechanic can ensure that an RTR is good as new..
Thanks like my previous reply I will check rtr for sure before making any final decision.

200NS for best chassis at this price point. decent power (better than all in this price point), decent quality, cheap to maintain.

If hates bajaj (thinking it will break down after 5k kms):

RTR 180, vibrations are there, but a great bike.

or just look karizma brothers.

Anything else at this price point have significantly less muscle to keep one happy for long.
