I am looking out for a bike which I can use mainly for Touring purpose and to drive to office (may be once or twice a week)
I am a hobbyist photographer, and I love travelling, and I usually drive my car (Ford Figo) to the all the locations.
Whenever I get a leave or a break I am always planning for a drive, many of them do not take off due to personal commitments, but whenever the plan does take off, I have absolutely loved every drive I have gone to.
I am not a hardcore tourer in reality, but I know that in my heart I am, and I am working towards covering all the length and breadth of our country.
I know that it takes time, patience and planning, but I am working towards it.
Recently I went on a bike trip and the itch to make bike as my primary tourer has taken me over, and my initial itch of driving a car to the Leh, has changed to riding a bike.
I havent ridden a bike for over 3 years now, as my car has been my main commuter.
I know it will be difficult for me to start off on bikes after a long hiatus and get comfortable immediately, but I am willing to learn and get better.
I recently drove the Classic RE 350 and I liked it, but the reliability issues are a big bother for me, and my cousin has one and I can use it whenever I want, so I really do not want to buy any Royal Enfield.
Would a KTM 200 serve good as a tourer or should I go for a CBR 250 ?
How about Duke 390, I'll have to take a loan but that is my last option.
I am in the market for a second hand bike, as I am already heavily invested on my camera gear and am short of funds.
Am working with a max budget of 1 to 1.2L, this will leave me room for buying the safety gear which in my opinion is a must buy.
Hence with my requirements, could you please suggest me a bike.
Regards,
Lohith
