    Thanx Ankur and Chauhan.......

BTW Chauhan, paint quality is an issue....
Ankur, its not about the presence but how long the bike would be able to catchup with them....

if r gonna use bike in city only then go for P200 /P220/RTR fi

on highways and smooth roads r 15 is better suited .Since its Rims are light weight naturally they cant take much beating from Desi roads

In dat case R 15 or Karizma R or p220 would definatly sit ur requirment.

This is for your friend who was saying R15 is overpriced:
            1. Fuel injection - excellent throttle response&no cold start problems
            2. Liquid cooling (India's first) you have a radiator fan&pour coolant too, like cars! This means long rides with no engine overheating
            3. Deltabox frame - try cornering at 90+speeds on other bikes, you'll know the difference.
            4. Full fairing - you'll know the use of this when you're at a high speed&you find it kind of hard to believe you're actually going that fast!

All this technology comes at a price my friend.

As for the power, R15 can very much keep up with the 220 at all speeds&has the highest top whack of 148 (Ask Sagar!).

Alloy issue: Paint not powder coated. Yes, but that makes it easier to touch up. As for the strength, I don't think putting a bike into a pothole at 95-100 is a right way to judge the strength of the rims. I doubt if any bike's alloys can hold that!

My 2 cents: Take a run-in R15&rip her guts out. See how she generates power&can handle the high revs, all the way upto the redline (in case of R15 its 10.5K RPM). You won't find any vibes there. Then, try the same thing with some other bike, just to know the difference.

All in all, I don't think the R15 should disappoint a performance enthusiast.

P.S.&O.T.: @Bandhav: Could you please provide me some 'inside' news on the Ninja? I'm really waiting for that one...

That's why I did put a price tag of 90k -- a whole 15k more than any other 150CC bike . It was my own opinion that it is over priced. Not even R15, FZ is also over priced by ~5k. With no offense to anyone, this is my personal opinion and I still think so.

I agree with you more or less...But doesn't Yammy need to make some money that it really couldn't make all these years?

OT: It is something like the Honda City-most superior in its class, yet pricing is way above the segment!

Anyways, I guess we are drifting off, I think R15 is the best bet for our Darq Prinz.

This guy was confused about R15's capabilities and we attempted embedding confidence in him about the bike...

Now, Darq_Prinz, please let us know what you feel after the discussion here and the pointers given

BTW, my 2 cents - don't doubt the R15 for anything. It is just good.

But if you are concerned about heavy city usage, other bikes are definitely more comfortable (by how much is a personal opinion though!) than the R

my thoughts/opinion : If you ride in the city most of the times then R15 is definitely out of question.p200/220 or a zma will be much better for city riding and occasional highway rides. The amount of torq. and minimal gear shifting these bikes will provide (both on and off the highways) will not disappoint you.

All these replies have given me a good impression about the r15 and i like the bike.........
but the problem is that there is a chance for the launch of menace or a fall in the price of the R15.... and the rumours of the FI p200???? i know that p200 is a blast of a bike so the FI version would be even more sexy..... I think now u understand my problem...

There is a chance for the launch of Menace, if you are prepared to wait for about 6 months.
P200 Fi is also more or less confirmed, you need to wait for max 3 months.
No chance of R15 price cut.

                          Hi mate,

I have ridden P220, karizma and R15 for quite some time, and I believe the pleasure and confidence of riding a R15 is outstanding. Go for it and you will never regret.

You were right about most of the things but intial accelaration of P220 is something what R15 cant hold a candle too.

This is so irritating. In every other thread you will see someone or other talking about P200FI while its just a rumour started by a Auto mag.

@R15rocks-Even after Bandhav saying that there is no P200Fi coming, you are confirming the launch date.Do you have someone very very close in Bajaj?
