I would say if you can wait, better do so. In the next year (2014) many new bikes are coming by big names.Originally posted by blaze_rj14 View Postmy second option is pulsar 200 ns and ktm duke but whem i ride ns i feel some vibrations on around 120 kmph
But t persent, you know your options.
I can't comment on the vibes, I haven't ridden either of them
Ride safe and have fun.

Forget K&N/any after market filter if u want long life for your bike. Swapping switch gear (if possible) may void warranty.Originally posted by blaze_rj14 View Postyeah am serious can i swap 150 switch gear with 250 and k&n air filtersGot a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Hi riders please help me to select cbr150 or r15
R25 would take at least an year to b launched.
Now answering your question,
R15- best built quality, perfect spread of torque, killer looks.
CBR150 - better for highways, better for pillion, Best alround comfort.
Had I been at your place, I would have gone for R15.HH Dawn - TVS Star City - Yamaha Gladiator - TVS RTR 180 - Honda CBR 250R - Yamaha R3

Re: Hi riders please help me to select cbr150 or r15
Wait a second, wait a second, what is this. . ? If you want pillion comfort, go for CBR150R or else go for R15, seriously come on guys are these both meant for just comfort. . ? Now as I have ridden both the 150R and R15 for some time, I can definitely vouch for the CBR150R, let me just pour in my ride review in terms of points, let me start off with R15,
1. Eye catcher. . .
2. Aggressive seating posture. . .
3. Best tires. . .
4. Best handler. . .
5. Powerful brakes. . .
6. Sucking rear seats. . .
7. Average FE. . .
8. Sticky tires. . .
9. Good for city and tracks. . .
Now coming to 150R,
1. It too is an eye catchy, especially the orange colour is the best looking. . .
2. Best handler too. . .
3. Powerful brakes. . .
4. Good riding posture, not too leaning, not to commuterish, just perfect. . .
5. Compared to R15, better in terms of handling, can change directions easily as compared to R15, ride it and you'll know what I mean. . .
6. They say it's more costlier than R15 but people forget that CBR is technically advanced than R15, . .
7. They say switch gears, blah blah blah sucks, come on, it's just a reason to hate it. . .
8. Good for highways and tracks. . .
9. Medium rubber. . .
10. Not so suitable if you are going in a congested traffic, you'll be pissed off. . .
11. More FE compared to R15. . .
12. Better pillion comfort. . .
So my final wordings,
CBR is definitely faster, quicker, sharp handler, easy going and high speed cruiser. . . Only place it's going to make you suck is in bumper to bumper traffic, if you ride all day in this kind of place then just go for R15, else CBR is the bike you need. . . Performance, performance and performance are what these two motorcycles are all about, both are tough to choose between but looking at the spec sheet and the performance list, the CBR scores a bit more but coming to other things like switch gears, tires and other stuffs, R15 is definitely a clear winner. . . That's it, the rest is your choice now. . .
Now coming to the next step, @blaze_rj14 first decide on what you want to buy, what are your needs. . ? Do you need CBR150R or R15 or 200NS or Duke 200 or R25 or a busa, be specific in what you want, you review all of them and bring them down to one or two, so that we can help you choose which is the best for you with the two and don't jump to any other options, that's it be specific in what you want to buy and let us know. . .
PS: About the switch gears, tires, filter, worry about after you make a decision on which one to buy, many complain this and after they buy the bike, they are quite happy with the switches. . .
Cheers!!!

Re: Hi riders please help me to select cbr150 or r15
People make a list of bikes they are interested in and narrow down to the bike that meets their requirements. What you are upto is totally wrong. You start with two 150cc and start including cbr250, r25 nd duke? Prioritise your needs. That's what you have to do first. If there is no bike fitting your needs in the market, then wait for the newer models. If you think buying a new product is good then let me tel you, nowadays there are new models coming in at a faster rate and for how long you wanna wait? Newer bikes wil have few niggles which the companies sort out in the later models.
Do not get confused. We can just guide you and mind, our words reflect our tastes. So do not totally depend on any forum. TD the bikes and decide. We can clear doubts. Not select a bike for you.

Exactly, that's the same I said. . . Narrow down to one or two models so we can help you and not starting a topic and going somewhere else. . .Originally posted by abhi7013 View PostPeople make a list of bikes they are interested in and narrow down to the bike that meets their requirements. Re: Hi riders please help me to select cbr150 or r15
When are you planning to buy actually?
From the two 150cc bikes I will pick R15 because I believe:
It will give me more for it. Better chassis(swing arm an all) better switch gear, r15 feels like a better finished product.
And
I feels that, cbr 150 is asking too much forward it got. And the pillion comfort is coming at the expense of riders joy on this bike because with that sort of torque it will not be much enjoyable to have a pillion for me.
All said it looks like you are not sure what you want.
In 250 cc segment I will simply buy cbr 250 because r25 is at least an year away

Newbies who enquire about a bike nowadays just seem to vanish off after starting a thread. That's a wrong attitude cause people here spend their time in giving honest advices. They are just wasting our time if they open up a thread and just vanish. Such cases are increasing day by day. Mods ought to delete such threads after a given time goes by without the TS showing up. And I hope xbhp becomes more strict in registering new members.

Re: Hi riders please help me to select cbr150 or r15
r15's seat is not that uncomfortable and it is better than cbr 150 in gearshifts, looks and road presence, but if you like cbr 150 than i would suggest getting it in orange color, it will have way more road presence than other cbr 150swait for rc 200 begins. but for time got a classic 350
