hey..guys my name is anshu and i am from a small town near varanasi obra . i am confused between yamaha r15 and upcoming pulsers and rc dukes should i go for yamaha r15 or wait and get rc200 or pluser 200ss/375 what do you guys think...?i love r15 for its handling but it turns me off when i see the power figures and pulsers turns me off because i don't trust bajaj but after the 200 ns launched my thoughts changed a bit about the brand bajaj...i can wait 3-6 months no hurry currently i am riding 08 hero honda glamour..there is no probiking and yamaha showroom here , probiking showroom 115 kms away from here and yamaha 45kms from here.i asked at local bajaj showroom here if they can bring me a ktm 200 they said they definitely can but later parts availability will be a problem and guess what the manager at showroom was not even knowing the which bike is ktm 200 they took 3 hrs to tell me that if they can get me the bike or not honda cbr 150 is easily available showroom is just 2 kms away and they have already delivered many cbrs here so they are good at there job but i don't know why r15 attracts me more than cbr150 but i can give it a thought..maybe because of deltabox frame and daytona racing kit easily available in market for r15...my daily usage will be around 40-100kms totally depends on mood
    height:- 5.8
    weight:- 60
mileage :- anything above 30 will do but the more the better
resale value :- i will not keep the bike more than 2-3 years after that a bigger bike like 600cc
track use :- i am planing to go on tracks
budget :- 1.5 lacs (on road)
waiting period :- not more than 6 month
maintenance :- no issue (but not too high)

First thing, please use Punctuation more. You many times wrote two sentences without any full-stop.

Coming to your query, for track use, buy a R15. Its as simple as that.
As for the upcoming Pulsars and RC's, there isn't any time frame for their release. So you could get the next month or could be left waiting for a year.
Also, R15 has adequate power, don't know why many think it lacks power. It may not be mind-blowing, but its more than enough for us.

      Ride safe and have fun.

Either R15 V2 or Duke 200. Take a TR and decide. RC series would be costlier.

main problem here is no test drive units are available if you want the they can get you the bike but no tr for premium bikes

          only available at special orders

..but i have rode my friends r15 and i love it i tried apache also that too was sweet to handel..never tried duke but i really like the look of duke 200

I have a doubt. You said you're from a small town. And you plan to ride on racetracks?
If you have one there, you're lucky and you should buy a faired bike for that purpose. I think you should wait for the new faired pulsars. R15 has great handling but it's not powerful enough for a racetrack. Duke is a naked bike. The SS Pulsars will definitely be powerful but we have no info about the handling. So in my opinion, you should wait for the Pulsars to see how good they are.

Actually you need to think on this. We are here with several head and we will answer different.

If you like R15 then eyes close R15. If power is concern then surely Duke or NS from your choice. But mind it Duke or NS both are not that stable as it should be like a 200cc mill post 130kmph+
Where R15 does 130kmph+ with stability. but it is locked at 135+/- 5kmph. So R15 is more justified. If you need some better pick up then surely Duke/NS200 comes ahead of R15.

and pulsers turns me off because i don't trust bajaj but after the 200 ns launched my thoughts changed a bit about the brand bajaj...
Now things have changed. Bajaj is not that refined but it's no more a Jerk machine. You can use it any how and abuse it. Lasting depends on the way you maintain it. Spare parts are also affordable with good number of SVC.

This is a real concern. No way you can go for Duke at least. Yamaha is also a pain to service if it takes 45kms to travel one side. In emergencies you will have no options than using your galmour for bringing spares etc.
You can surely go with NS200 as SVC it very close to you. NS200 has good features with nice handling if you change the tyres.

Infact if you don't trust Bajaj then you can seriously go for CBR 250 which will be power as well as good. You need to change the tyres for CBR as well for better grip.

Daytona kit is not for daily use. And it will be an added expense.
Delta frame should not be a point to consider while buying. Because Duke is not a delta frame but it's handling is also same as R15.
              It's all about design.

In this NS due to SVC next to you other Honda same reason but an added advantage is Honda's resale value. But at same time Honda SVC are pain in ass, they have a bad attitude towards customer, coz they know product will be sold due to it's excellent engineering.

Daily ride that too 40-100kmphs then move to CBR 150/250/NS200.
              R15 won't be that comfortable.
Race tracks would be once in a while in 3-6 months I guess, so any bike even NS200 or CBR can be used.

From me for you if you ride sanely then surely CBR250 or NS200

With this much confusion, you are sure to regret your decision one way or the other.

                    Re: confused

Honestly speaking, if you are sure to upgrade in 2-3 years, I would say wait. Don't buy any thing. Save your money for a bigger bike. Super sport 600cc will never come less than 8-10 lakh. Believe me you'll find every penny valuable when you spend 8-10L on a bike.

If you are still thinking and not sure of whether you'll upgrade or not, then out of the choices you're looking at, you should better see what style of riding do you enjoy. I personally like bullets and I enjoy them, but I surely can't own them. For street nakeds like NS and Duke, I can keep them as a second bike but my primary riding is in sports posture.
For me looks are secondary and they are subjective. After everything is said and done, once you shown off your bike to everyone you know, after around 6-7 months you've got to think-do I still like this bike? Do I still love riding it, or should I change? The bike that you'll keep after that period passes by, is the one you should buy now.
                    All the best.

Many people who are not born with a silver spoon in their mouth have actually jumped from 100-150cc machines to liter class bikes.

So if 2L is a difficult right now, 2-3 years down the line, 8-10lakh won't be an easy task. he'll definitely need that money.

Agree age is not constant, but you can either give your self time to learn the bike once you have it, or keep on preparing yourself for a 600cc machine with the hope of owning it sometime. With age expenses increase as well. Personal opinion - one should save if he's sure to switch to a 10L machine, that too in 2-3 years.

i am very much new to this biking this learned biking about 5-6 months ago so,first i want to start with 150-200 cc bike then a bigger bike...

Good to know there is no money issue here. But again 2L is like 20-25% of what your looking to spend. For me that's a big amount
Apart from that consider my 2nd option I posted, regarding the available bikes.
