Heart/brains choices keeps changing, But you can't change bike in every next 3-6 months.

Anybody's practical choice would be close SVC + best buy for your money.

No one would like to get the bike serviced after riding 45kms/100+kms one side, what about the scenarios in emergency ??

If you are R15 fan then CBR 150 is next substitute, else power = NS200.

Go through CBR 150 threads.

@op
Do you really have any plans to ride on a track? I mean, do you really?
If the answer to that question is a surprising yes, forget about nakeds. It'll be much more fun on a powerful bike that has full fairing and good handling. CBR 150 will feel like a moped on a proper racetrack and R15 won't be much better either. Wait for the new pulsars. If they're not good handlers, get the R15. I don't think the RC200 will fit into your budget of 1.5 lakh.

height:- 5.8
weight:- 60
mileage :- anything above 30 will do but the more the better
resale value :- i will not keep the bike more than 2-3 years after that a bigger bike like 600cc
track use :- i am planing to go on tracks
budget :- 1.5 lacs (on road)
waiting period :- not more than 6 month
maintenance :- no issue (but not too high)
I think you should consider getting a RTR180 or R15 as you have mentioned above "track use", they both are best suited for that. . . Now speaking about other necessities, definitely both bikes meet your requirements, the RC series as they mentioned, will take some time but they will come soon though. . . SS I don't think is that much aggressive, again can't comment unless I ride one, NS is also another great machine, an alternative for D200 (saying NS so that you can save the rest of the money and buy yourself good gears and helmet too). . . Overall, I think you need to be considering these bikes, also as you don't use it for long term, get anything you like. . . Personally, CBR is another bike you wouldn't stop after tasting the first blood. . .

PS: Daytona kit is kinda waste, not worth that money and most importantly, not legal, also CBR is another great bike if you are going for tracks, again the choice is your's. . .

Auto Expo is going to have loads of new launches. Hopefully the new Hero-EBR 250, P200SS, Hopefully RC series, Suzuki GW250, CBR 300, Hopefully Triumph Daytona 250, HD low cost cruisers, Hopefully Mahindra's 300cc Mojo, TVS-BMW 250cc bike (not sure as I heard they have been working on it), I wish the R25 is also showcased many more to come. wait at-least till March. as only in Feb they will be showcased and it might take a month or 2 for the bikes to hit the showrooms and roads..

If you are not satisfied, then you can go ahead with the CBR 150 or the 250. Duke is light and good to ride, but for some reason i find the exhaust note like an auto or scooter guys, please don't bash me. It is just my opinion

For a price conscious market, they're going about it the wrong way in the lower capacity agreement, I think. Local manufacturing for 200-400cc would create very high demand, like KTM did with BAL.
A locally manufactured Daytona 250 would give Yamaha and KTM (RC series) some very tough (and not to mention, healthy) competition.

May the god of 2-stroke engines condemn you to the deepest pit of hell.

Back on topic, I would like to advise the OP to get a P200NS since it would be easier to service and spares are cheaper comparatively.
I am back!

After going through the whole thing, I was more than confused than the OP.
if I were the OP aaron_dagger, I would have bought the R15, because it has decent power, tried and tested Yamaha reliability, has some track features like a high revving engine with fairings.
This will make your future up gradation more comfortable and smooth.
If you have time, occasional servicing can be considered as a trip.
