Why don't you try SS125? Take a TD. The seat will me comfortable for your mom too. And if you take care of it, it will serve you for years to come. It will not look like a rusted and rugged bike after 2-3 years.

shiv1: Let's see your frame fits in the bike first. All 100-110cc bikes will look small to your 6 footer. 125cc might be good but 150cc will be the perfect fit. Why? You have to bend your knees to the tank to sit comfortably right? So the 100-125cc bikes height is more-or-less same when compared to 150cc. Check Motorcycle Ergonomics for approx seating position with pillion before heading to showroom for TR. (Psst: Don't check other manufactures/bike or you get too confused )

As i said before try to avoid 100-125cc for your height & weight. If you are considering only mileage, these bikes will do.

100cc w/o disc brake.
1: Hero Splendor.
2: Honda dream yuga/neo
3: Forgotten bikes like Yamaha crux & Bajaj Platina

With disc brake
1: Bajaj Discover 100M
2: Honda CB-Twister
3: I guess Hero Passion-Pro now comes with disc brake.

In this 100-110cc bikes, Discover 100M & T is the bike with 4-valve engine which is ok for mileage of 50kmpl. All other bikes should give above 55kmpl.

125cc bike is bit mixed of fuel efficiency & performance.

1: Discover 125ST is the only bike with 4-valve tech & mono shock @ rear. 125T comes with nitrox shocks like old gen pulsars. Mileage wise is ok for this high revving 125cc. Around 50kmpl.
2: Yamaha SS125 is also a good bike with good mileage & power. 50-55 kmpl.
3: If you want pure mileage in a 125cc bike, Honda Shine will do. 55kmpl.

Last one is the 150cc. Perfect fit for your frame.

For 150cc go for Honda CB-Unicorn. Tried & tested engine which runs in Hero & Honda bikes. Mileage is 50-55 kmpl. Easy on maintenance. If you can stretch your budget, CB-Trigger is also good for it's light weight, fully digi speedo meter, tubeless tires & you can opt for rear disc variant.

Overall check all the bikes upto 150cc bikes which members said & mine too for TR then decide which is the best friend.

Cheers

Go for Hero Glamour best bike in its class that you can use for 10yrs or Honda Trigger if possible. Yamaha SS125 or Honda Shine is also a good choice for long term use and decent mileage.

Buddy, according to your requirements, in my opinion, the best bet you can get is :-
Written in Priority:-
1.) Trigger (if you can convince your pitaji, to loosen his pocket a bit more)
2.) Glamour PGM-FI (comes with FI system)
3.) Passion Xpro (although old enough but a good performer on the road)
4.) Twister (Reliability of honda and also good looks(IMO))

All of the stated above are the best in class ones and will be somewhere around your budget too.
AND the important part will definitely answer the Million Dollar Question every Indian asks -- "KITNA DETI H".

But in the end the decision rests upon you only, so take a Test Drive on them and decide for urself, you will get a perfect decision from the heart as soon as you saddle up.

Gloves UP helmets Down......Cheers.
Cheers,

IMO, Centuro or TVS Star City, TVS make is reknowned, Start city has been used in Chennai atleast a lot more . Decent power and good mileage, not sure about the price, Definitely should be under your budget. You dont have to go at 75kmph to test the vibes, since you have quoted, your city/town doesnt have good roads either, better not to go fast and be sorry for that later

So, TVS or Centuro is a good buy

PS: TVS Star city maintenance is hassle free.
