    Hello everyone
Its my first post so as expected my question is which bike
Apache 180 or Pulsar 200ns or Pulsar 220
    • It will be my first bike, I will be riding mostly in city sometimes on highways.
    • Mileage not an issue.
    • Not very keen to get a fared bike.
    • My height is 5'10

Also some tips on convincing parents to get a bike
I always get the usual reply " Four Wheeler hai na toh bike kyun chahiye " and a big lecture on how dangerous bikes are

Pulsar 200ns, smooth engine yet powerful and nice brakes. I would have brought that if mileage wasn't a issue for me. My friend is getting 40kmpl by the way.

You are telling yourself that you don't need a p220.
Now choosing from apache and 200ns.

I drove a pulsar 220 for 2 years and 8 months now and sold it on january 27 2014 and got a pulsar 200 Ns on 11th february 2014. Its been around 12 days that I got the NS and believe its a piece of cake . You will love it. It does have a better engine and great mileage figures. Do not expect that from the 220. The 220 is a bully to be true. I loved it initially but as time passed more and more problems. The main problem that you would get on the 220 is the fairing vibrating and the chain sprocket going bad too soon. The new dual coloured 220 s have been compromised of quality which can be seen by observing the old exhaust pipe of the single colours and the dual colours. The earlier ones were thick. Now coming to the Apache. It does not have a good stance or posture. And by your height the bike would be quite small and the stock tyres are preety bad. Even I am 5 feet 10 and I can firmly sit on the NS with both legs down straight on the ground. The NS has a great stance to ride. If u want to commute travel far or even want to do a knee down you will be glad that you owned a 200 Ns. The NS may not be the fastest but is definitely the smartest

Sir you're wrong, NS is the fastest in all bikes under 1.5L₹ ,way faster than all.in fact there isn't any 200 cc or 23bhp+ bike at all other than Ns in the price range.

P200NS all the way. The other two bikes are almost a decade old in tech now. So nothing to be confused.

If I am not wrong the pulsar 220 can do 143 kmph and the 200 ns 136 kmph max. I was talking about top speed. Anyway I love 200 Ns. In love with it.

Ns has done 150+ ,mine does 148, in short, top speed doesn't matter, what matters is How Quickly You Reach There. And in that case, Ns has no competition in 1.50L₹ range

Re: Apache 180 or Pulsar 200ns or Pulsar 220

200ns is better than 220 and rtr 180. I was also confused between rtr180 and ns but now i am happy i bought ns.
                      Pros
                      Superb looks.
Comfortable for rider and pillion ( did 100 km ride with my girl on a bad road)
                      Awesome pick up.
Good mileage got 32 (worst)when tyre pressure was 10 psi less than the normal otherwise 35-40 on mixed riding conditions.
Cheap to maintain, my first service cost me only 680 Rs (engine oil and oil filter change ) and 2nd service was done for 120 Rs ( 90 for chain lubrication, 10 for coolant top up, labor and washing was free).
                      Superb handling, braking and control.
Bike can easily cross big patholes without any deviation from its line so its safe and easy to go fast.

                      Cons
Rear disc break noise for 2k km which do not effect braking performance or acceleration but still annoying.
                      Exhaust note is not good.

I bought it with my own money and i am loving it.
                      I am loving my NS

Same is the case with me bro. My parents infact told me to get a 150cc instead of 200 Now I told them I am buying the apache 160, but will fix 3k more and get the 180. By the way I rode both NS and apache, Liked tha RTR more <- I know this may sound awkward to some.

Not awkward at all. You definitely liked the low end torque of RTR and the bassy exhaust note. I love it too.
About NS, it requires the rider to make use of it's higher rev range, Above 7k RPM is when the fun "starts". That's when you will enjoy the rocket ride .. the pulling force and the exhaust note too. But it can also tire you out. Then you may wanna bring down the RPMs to 5-6k, it's sweetest spot in rev range.

Guys who is really going to check the top speed? For how many sec you have done the top speed? Hardly 30sec? Thread starter is looking for a bike for city use & some time on highways. If top speed what he want, he would have chosen a different bike. It's not about the top speed. How you manage your speed inside city condition. Don't get fight into who is the fastest here.

Mods: If my post is rude please delete this post. Sorry!

@Ne1565: 200NS & A180 is best for city use. Cars are good when you go with your family for a long journey. But bikes are too good when you travel alone or with you loved one in city. Nothing can beat bike riding inside city.

Do take a TR of both bikes & finalise it.

I know NS200 gives 40-42 kmpl as my friend said. What about RTR180?
