IMO your requirement simply points to the Bullet/Thunderbid 350. It's little over the budget for you but for these long daily distances and comfort/pleasure of riding on the highways, they are the best. You can't rip them like Pulsar/RTR but can achieve high speeds of up to 120kmph if you so wish and the torque makes it a breeze to overtake. Give it a test ride and find out if it suits you.

I guess the NS 200 is the only one fitting the bill now.
If you can stretch, then Duke it is!

Re: Which bike would increase fun quotient in daily commute
You have two options- A new P200NS or a used Duke 200. Duke200 has a very good and powerful engine and hence I would recommend this too.
In my opinion, look out for your biker buddies who are willing to sell their dukes. Getting a used bike from a biker friend is always in a way better condition than getting a used bike from someone who doesn't respect or worship their motorcycles, just my two cents.

Re: Which bike would increase fun quotient in daily commute
Hi Guys! I have been busy with my life and almost forgot that I had tingled a few Experts with my query. I am sorry for being unresponsive for quite a while.
Haven't been able to do any test ride so far but I have shortlisted 3 bikes so far, priority wise the list is 200NS, R15 and Avenger .
The purchase plans are probably gonna shift to August 1st week, as it will turn out to be my B'day gift from my dad :P (yeah, thats how its gonna be).
I will give one more last push for DUKE though..
ADMINS you can close this thread, as I have got the insight that I was looking for .Last edited by H3ll6oi; 06-08-2014, 12:20 AM. Reason: grammatical mistakes :), what I could notice myself

Re: Which bike would increase fun quotient in daily commute
I'd suggest R15 out of your 3 shortlisted choices. As you mentioned,do try for the duke 200.That'll keep you happy for a long time
PS:- Start buttering parents for the D200

Re: Which bike would increase fun quotient in daily commute
Go for a dazzler or unicorn... Though they may not look send, they do have power and mileage balanced very well... They will give u power as well as very good mileage even at higher speeds.. Plus the seats are comfortable for the distance you commute everyday..
I personally prefer a fz but the mileage is terrible if u rip it..
Ride safe!!

Test ride the RTR 180 ABS, if you haven't already. It doesn't get more fun at that price point.

Re: Which bike would increase fun quotient in daily commute
Hi comrades!
I am really glad to say that I got myself a Pulsar 200 NS. The choice was slightly difficult after it boiled down to Apache RTR 180 ABS and 200 NS. As I have told earlier that I have been using a TVS bike , Apache was what my la familia (to be specific, mama mia) was asking me to buy, and It was not a bad deal at all but the charisma this Black beauty (yes My new ride is all black ) had was hard to ignore.
Even though I was heartbroke when bajaj dealership denied a testride quite opposite to the TVS guys who were so - so much friendly. I even warned them that they were making it quite easy for me to decide.
But very next day I straight away walked into owner's cabin and talked to him . He was friendly and ensured that I had smooth exp there onwards in the dealership. the delivery was done in the evening of this last monday . I am enjoying the orgasmic rides daily...wooohooo. thanks every one for your inputs.
Will be posting an review shortly.
