There just be trees and their shades in your college, every college has trees.

Not every college :/ parking is usually done in a open ground (mine was like that).
Best for the TS would be to take a cloth piece and cover the tank with it. Its really hard to take full cover to college and use it.

      Ride safe and have fun.

Yes there are trees but it's little away from parking so the security guards will not take responsibility for any theft, damage, etc. not a good idea.

Does the same color fading also exists with blue and black?

I think this is just a tactic of the showroom to sell the current stock since they may not have red in stock.I have a 3yr old pulsar 150 with the same cocktail wine red as the avenger. And it shines like new when I wash her.

No, they do have them in stock. They were offering me to buy red on the same day. And even if there was none in stock, they could arrange one within 2-3 days. I don't think that's a problem.
Btw, for how much time per day your bike gets exposed to sun?

As I said I hardly wash, but when I do it is with water (pressure) and good scrub with old cotton vest. And whenever the bike goes for servicing, the service center guys use a cheap detergent to wash.

Assuming this was your reply (since your quoted text isn't proper at the time of my writing this post), your lack lusture attitude combined with the harsh climate is the reason for all paint fade.
                1. Avoid pressure water wash. And please wash your bike regularly.
                2. Avoid scrubs.
                3. Avoid hair shampoos and detergents.
                4. No matter where you park, cover your bike! No excuses whatsoever.

I hope you now know what mistakes were committed so far.

Actually I was saying that even after doing all this:
"As I said I hardly wash, but when I do it is with water (pressure) and good scrub with old cotton vest. And whenever the bike goes for servicing, the service center guys use a cheap detergent to wash."
the paint on my bike is hardly faded even after 3 yrs. So to the original poster, nothing to worry about paint fading.

Divya, I am sure your suggestions would keep it even better.
