  • Daily Commuting And extensive City and Highway Riding. Which Bike..?

After a really long time coming back to this forum.
I have a RE TB500 which doesn't exactly does justice to city riding. I have an Activa which doesn't do as great as any Geared Motorcycle..
Now my everyday travelling has become extensive approximately 40-50 kms one way inclusive of highway and city riding in Mumbai.
I am going to book a bike by July. Preferably 150 cc Bike
I have somewhat found the 150 cc Xtreme 2014 a good candidate in this list.
I am 6 feet , 82kgs , I need heavy traffic riding capabilities in the bike which performs fairly well above atleast 80 kmph without choking.
Mileage is definitely an Important thing here...
Looking for something which is less on maintenance.
Any Suggestions or explanations are welcome.
    Thanks In Advance.

            What about p200ns. .?
            Power
The best you can get in a Lakh, puts shame to rtrs, r15 leave alone fzs and fazers. .
            Comfort
Below splendor, but above rtr And r15 ,as I like to say, you ride like sitting on cushion, with respect to the power you handle.
            Style
Depends on person but people still stop me ask which bike is this. (Living in Delhi)
            Mileage
            30-45kmpl as you ride.
            VFM .
            1Lac for 23.5 bhp/18nm torque.
And I do own a r15(partially) And ns(solely permanently) ,free service of r15 costed more than paid service of ns, Also spare parts cost of ns will make you wonder, is this real. .?

Pulsars definitely no! Had a pulsar. Just not a fan of it
And my budget is not going to go beyond 80-82ish as i just got a TB 500.
Any opinions about the new xtreme?
Kinda looks nice and decent engine.
Secondly i am guessing hero is cheap maintenance.
Anyone can shed light on this?

Well you cannot afford 200ns either at 80-82 k. :sly::sly:
You may try gs150r or extreme.

A very viable option. New one looks miles better than the outgoing bike. Solid engine, good ride quality and mileage. GS150 is another option though service availability and spare parts will always remain a challenge.

Gotta use it for a basic period of approximately 2 years buddy.
I dont think it makes sense investing so much.

Didn't get you. I was talking about Hero Extreme. Were you not inclined towards it? Or are you saying no to GS150 ( which is undertandable )

                        Need a good mileage.
6 feet so proper riding stance.
Should be able to zoom on streets hence should be powerful in the lower range Rep too and should be powerful enough to go out on high speeds over highways.

If you're spending 80k, Then adding 20k more and getting the best if world won't hurt that much as all your requirements are undoubtedly pointing towards ns, still, only extreme and gs will suit you under 80k, you may also try apache rtr160
Though honda dream neo is also worth a look.

Wont be potent enough for highways right?
