    +1 to sambit.
Why don't you have a look at TVS' Star Series(Star City, Star Sport, etc)?
TVS is not Japanese but it is reliable, cheap spares, good mileage, powerful than splendor(a small bit) and TVS' ASS is very very good(atleast in my place)!
BTW, If your heart is on the splendor series, Have a look at Splendor i3S iSmart. Have a look at Passion X Pro too! its engine layout and technology got redesigned! the engine moved from horizontal layout to vertical layout. If you have heard the engine of X Pro, You will understand! The sound will be different from the Splendor or Passion series!!!

Bajaj Discover 100, been using it for the past couple of months, never been to SVC all services done by myself. Returns 50ish if pinned to WOT else returns 70ish. I use it mainly to commute between Kollam Bangalore(700~800kms depending on route and mood), done 12k kms as of now, still going strong. Give it some thought.

      Oops forgot to add,

      52k OTR Price, Kollam, Kerala.

I'm a heavy rider 120+kg and travel with luggage, so you might get better mileage than me.

During my first ride rode at 50~70kmph and reached Bangalore with just 650rs fuel. Next time pinned it at 80~85kmph and got back to Kerala with a little north of 1000rs worth fuel.

Thanks for your suggestions I am worried about the Bajaj bike's long life can it handle the abuse throttle 100cc(94-95cc)engine.

WRT the bold part, don't get a 100CC. Try 125CC(stunner,SS,etc). 100CCs are for relax commuting only. more over ripping them only lead to more fuel consumption, destroying the very purpose purpose of a 100CC. I never ride my old Star city/Dawn more than 60kmph, and they are still in great condition even after 8 and 12 yeas respectively.

I thought my use and abuse of the bike was solid proof enough that Bajaj makes bulletproof bikes.

In a single day I've gone close to 1k kms, 950k kms to be precise. So I guess you can say that the bike is just as good as any other bike.

Ok if I ride my bike 100cc under 60kmph speed on the highway what would be the mileage I get. I get around 75kmpl from my new Bajaj platina. Sold it due to the stability issue and the looks. Also please tell me the best mileage bikes In the 100-100cc category.bike with mileage figure
