    Re: Which 400+ cc monster?

I feel amazed to see how the real point in most of the thread devaites from Which Bike ? to Which up coming bike?
I mean, why plan for something about which we are not even sure when that would be launched?
We have too many options in the provided range, yes we do need to compromise on certain aspects but come on, stop asking for bikes which are not even in the market.

Get the options , shortlist them , test ride them, buy it.

P.S : As someone said, humans are spoilt by choices, we are not happy with what we have.

Well I have to disagree about your point. OP had clearly said he is willing to look out for upcoming launches. Also can you list me what are all the options that is available in 4L bracket? Actually I am also looking for some 400cc bikes in that price bracket (strictly below 4L)

Sorry to say but only Duke390 is the available product right now or RC which has been seen being tested on Indian roads.
But apart from that whats the proof that the CBRs and other products falls in "up coming bikes" bracket?

By looks, performance, riding position & budget, I too agree with you. KTM 390 stand tall. But seeing online, couple of issues by owners makes many to have 2nd thought. Issues like engine oil leak, abrupt stopping of engine, bad wheel quality & heavy clutch.

I dont know whether KTM already upgrade anything to overcome with these issues. Please share your suggestions for KTM390.

            Sir,
Ktm have solved almost all the issues which were earlier reported. My bike is 1 month old and i haven't faced single problem or niggles which earlier 2013 model owners experienced. Regarding heavy clutch ya it needs to get used to but we can't say its a problem.

Good to here abt your experience till now. But I think all KTM dealers are not aware of this upgrade from KTM coz recently I checked with Banjara Hill (Hyderabad) dealer and he admitted the issues. He didn't gave me any assurance from 2014 models.
These days I am in Delhi and planning to visit Lajpat Nagar dealer today to check the update.

              Happy ridding

Don't know about hyderabad dealers but in 2014 they have changed many things like ecu remapping ( minor tweaks) , radiator fan system and main thing those fork and engine oil head leakage

Regarding rim cracking here in chhattisgarh you can experience worst roads ever you have driven so no problem till now with rims also. I am not saying that rim cracking doesn't happened in 390 but 2014 models they have tried to improve the bike quality.
Changes mentioned can be corrected by other members if i am wrong.

                  Re: Which 400+ cc monster?

Yesterday got a chance to visit 2 KTM dealers. One at MG Road Gurgaon & other in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi.
MG Road showroom is huge with limited taste but Lajpat Nagar showroom being small has variety of choices to look for.
Both dealers admitted few problem till 2013 model but assured me about 2014 models. Lajpat Nagar dealer feels more supportive and encourage to test the orange monster. Seeing the rush hour traffic we postponed it till weekend. They have few options to change the exhaust system as he did for his Duke 200. I got a chance to chat with 390 owner at showroom which till now drove it around 13000 KMs including Himalaya tours. As per his riding & road condition, he had to change its rear tyre with new Metzeler tyres after 11,000 Kms. Which I feel its too early for a bike as Metzeler tyres are soft rubber. Another chance at MG Road dealer was to interact with Haryana guy came to have orange monster delivery for his son. He settled in Sweden and a grt fan of Austrian KTM brand. He has HD Iron & RE Bullet but still love to experience 390 with ABS (HD & RE lacks in it).
Yesterday's experience make me feel more comfortable and exited to take this monster under me for a ride.
