Which 400+ cc monster?
I am planning to experience more thrilling ride from 400+ cc bike segment. Please help me out which one comes out clear winner considering current & upcoming launches. My budget is 4 lac. Harley 750 is not of my choice. Is it worth to stretch bills for Ninja 650 or wait more months for new launches from Honda / Pulsar 400CS etc. -
Re: Which 400+ cc monster?
Query Approved
As of now, you have no option but to wait. Nothing available around 400cc. Only thing is the Ninja and the GT650s. Or buy the Duke 390.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

Re: Which 400+ cc monster?
Yup as mentioned... Wait it out... I think we're on queue for some 500cc bikes from Honda maybe even 650s who knows.
Ninja 650 is whatever said, a very good bike as a midrange upgrade... But it'll be fun to buy when they get a little more competition from the other Jap manufacturers. I'm personally amazed why Yamaha doesn't launch the FZ6r which is the sports touring version of the R6... and Suzuki won't have us their SV650 range while they offer us the Big Bandit and Hayabusas. Kawasaki should go one up and tease them by releasing the KLR series out here... single cylinder 650 old school carb stuff but rugged as a stone
plus inexpensive.
Anyway, i'd wait it out for a bit longer if I were you, for pure lack of choice in the 400-800cc range in India...Last edited by Vykier; 07-14-2014, 07:59 PM.

Re: Which 400+ cc monster?
.
the N650 is a great bike. You'll enjoy every moment on it.
if you decide to wait... you could end up waiting a few months to a few years for the "new" 400+ offerings from Honda/Pulsar.
bike companies are milking the market. 50cc upgrades seem to have become the norm.
200 - 220 - 250 - 300 - 390
it's going to be a decade (or two) before Bajaj/TVS/Hero have a proper stable of anything that resembles world-class offerings in terms of true "performance" motorcycles.
i'm talking about 400/650/1000 i4 engines made by indian manufacturers.
beggars can't be choosers. not unless u think it's ethically OK to pay more than TWICE the MRSP for a bike than is a pain to maintain because it's a premium bike.
the indian market is not profitable for "performance" motorcycles so manufacturers are in no hurry to build proper bikes.
i saw the CBR500 at the Sepang circuit last year. Seemed like a good option for Indian market.
but of course... there's no info on when or if this bike will be made available in India.Last edited by xionite; 07-15-2014, 03:27 PM..

Re: Which 400+ cc monster?
As of now we don't have any confirmed info about any upcoming 400cc bike, rumor says Honda, Bajaj and many more manufacturers are working to bring them to India, I don't think this will take this will less than two years still, for now you have only one option Duke 390, go for it if you like it...

Re: Which 400+ cc monster?
I currently have a 150 CC bike. The most likely upgrade that I can think of is P200NS (No KTMs please...they don't suit my age), but whats the point in upgrading just a 50cc more? The moment I saw P400CS, my heart said this is it. But unfortunately Bajaj had decided not to show it anytime before 2015Originally posted by itsmevini123 View PostAs of now we don't have any confirmed info about any upcoming 400cc bike, rumor says Honda, Bajaj and many more manufacturers are working to bring them to India, I don't think this will take this will less than two years still, for now you have only one option Duke 390, go for it if you like it...

Re: Which 400+ cc monster?
Not going for KTM is your personal choice, but believe me NS is just not 200cc machine there is whole lot difference between a normal 150cc bike and NS is very good in many aspects handling, rev range, stability, its a very good machine to learn the next age biking...Originally posted by getvmurali View PostI currently have a 150 CC bike. Re: Which 400+ cc monster?
I think they once said that they are about to launch around 50 new bikes in the coming years , right after their exclusion from Honda .Originally posted by fatichar View PostHero had also shown quite a few big bikes in auto expo. Any news about them?

Re: Which 400+ cc monster?
On the topic of 'up coming' bikes, its a waste of time. There isn't any time frame for the release of any bikes. They may take just a few more months or a few years.
First people used to say they want something more than 200-250cc (when pulsar and karizams ruled) and now when we got many options in that range, they now want even more than them :/
@TS: there are 250-300cc bikes and 650cc bikes, why look only in between. If you got the cash, i see no reason to not go for ninja 300 or duke 390.
Ride safe and have fun.

Re: Which 400+ cc monster?
I too have best thoughts for Ninja 650, but for that price it lacks in ABS and other rider's average review.
Looking something around 400cc will b easy on pocket if there r any confirmed launching announcements or else am ready to shell more for international brands. CBR 500 is another options I can go. Any review for Ninja 636 super-sports?
Thanks guys for your reviews. Keep sharing.

Re: Which 400+ cc monster?
The cost by importing would be way more than double the actual cost of the bike (thanks to our import and custom laws). And this in no way would be easy on the pocket.Originally posted by saddamalikhan View Postelse am ready to shell more for international brands. CBR 500 is another options I can go. You should research more on this before.
