  • Suggest a second bike

Hi to all riders. This is Sivakumar from bangalore. I need your help to choose my second bike. I'm not a bike fan until i ride my first bike. I purchased my apache rtr 160 on 2011. I don't have any major issue with my apache. I'm getting neck pain even for a short ride of 10 kms. So I want to change my bike. My requirements is

    1. Comfort riding position. I'm 5'9''
    2. Good handling mostly ride in the city
    3. Decent pillion comfort
    4. Budget around 1 lakhs

Already I have test ride pulsar 200 ns and yamaha fzs. Both are very comfortable for me. I didn't get chance to ride karizma. Thanks for reading and waiting for your valuable suggestions.

Ok, going by your requirements, the Yamaha FZ-S isn't equal to or a better performer compared to the RTR160..

the P200NS is a good bike, but I am not sure about the quality.. The Karizma is a good bike with a proven engine..

What is the price quoted for the P200NS?
        Splendor - 2k to 2006
        Karizma - 2k3 to 2009
        P180 - 2k6 to 2k9
Hunk - Oct 2k7 til now
        ZMR - 2010 to Forever
        RX135(2k) - 2013 to 2018
        Ninja 250R (2010) - 2016 til now
        RayZ - 2015 til now
        Ninja 650 (2014) - 2017 til now

Ok, the Old Karizma Rs used to be comfortable for almost all the riders. however, the new Karizma Rs have a sporty riding stance. a little more relaxed compared to the RTR or maybe the same.. In your case, I suggest you test ride the Karizma R and see if you are comfortable.

If you take a pillion with you, the Karizma is a heaven.. the seats are simply perfectly cushioned and the engine is proved reliable for the past 11 years..

now coming to the P200NS. The bike is a success till now. Note that they are bringing in the FI version soon so I would suggest you wait for few more months before you make the purchase. FI has its own advantages over the Carb'd engine. but at an additional cost of at max 10,000/-

The P200NS seats aren't much comfortable and once you start riding a Karizma, you might find the P200NS a little uncomfortable.

Test ride both the bikes back to back and see which feels comfortable for you..

                  Cheers,

The new Karizma has little more sporty riding position for sure compared to old Karizma, but if we compare it to RTR, its almost the same, as because you are 5.9, you will not feel much difference between both of them...

I test ride the karizma zmr. I feel it's more sportier than rtr 160. I doubt it will give neck / back pain. Pulsar 200ns zmr and p 220 in my mind. Any suggestions
