    Hi friends,,

I am height is 6 feet. i am confused to choosing perfect bike for me.. i want a bike with raw power and amazing looks.. I am thinking about R15 and P200NS.. Which is better for me. Is R15 v2.0 is suitable for me?? can i get wrist pain..??
P200NS is naked bike.. but power is better than R15.. But its a naked bike..it's doesn't have sporty looks like r15 .. SO friends please give me some valuable suggestions

In terms of acceleration, 200ns is way ahead of r15.
in terms of handling and corneing, r15 is light years ahead of NS.

the riding postion of r15, you will get used to it once you start using it more.

as you are upgrading from p180, if you shift gears the same way as in r15, you will feel the bike slow. r15 needs to be revved hard and the bike loves hard revving.

      fairing, looks,handling and corneing- r15
      power,top speed-200ns.

build quality and reliability of yamaha is better than bajaj.

        Hi Hemanth,

        +1 for the above post.

The choice of bike will depend on many factors.
Your style of riding, daily uses, expected mileage etc etc.

Being an owner of R15 I can give you the pros and cons of R15.
        * First up is the engine, very very smooth, robust and reliable.
        * Handling - I have been riding for 9 years and nothing comes close to a R15 in terms of handling. You'll forget your front heavy pulsar.
        * fit, finish and build quality - top notch, very few companies give the quality and finish equal to Yamaha.
        * It it very very stable at high speeds, very planted even at 100+.
        * very good and grippy semi slick tyres, which give superior grip on dry as well as wet roads.

as for the wrist pain is concerned, yes the wrists do pain for a few days in the beginning, but as you get used to the sporty riding posture and get your stance right, wrists does not pain. Many people have done 5000kms leh trip on R15s and did'nt complain about wrist or back pain. so it all depends on the correct seating posture.

about pulsar 200ns, yes it is powerful, and advanced compared to other pulsars, if you want a naked bike, go for it. It is good value for money and a performance machine.

I would suggest you to take test rides of both the bikes and then decide.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

If you are upgrading for power top speed then choose 200NS.

But if you are upgrading for control, flick ability, handeling, and quality then choose R15. and wrist pain will go after you get used to seating posture and adjust accordingly. And pls mind that i had personaly achieved 136KMPH (on speedo) on R15 V many many times so top speed is not bad at all.

and looks then surely go for R15 V2.

Yamaha r15 riding position in not comfortable as compared to the pulsar 200ns. Due to your height I would say first test ride it and then decide.
the pulsar 200ns has a great power and it gives no time to r15 to come close.
I have faced the same situation as you and I know that the quality, handling, breaking of yamaha is great but the sitting positions is not good as compared to the pulsar 200ns and the power is also very less
Finally I took the pulsar 200ns.

R15 v2 is the best cornering machine ! As you have 6.0 hight you better go for 200 because r15 won't sute for tall guys !
Opposte as the NS ! Ns won't suite for short guys !

As you are 6 feet tall, I would advice you to take test ride of the R15, because of its riding position tall people like me and you ( I'm 6'2" ) look monstrous on it.
Otherwise yamaha is miles ahead in build quality.

CBR 150 is an overpriced machine. And rather than deciding on the sitting position here, I'd advice you to take a TR of both R15 and P200. If possible, take the TR from a friend/relative so that you can get to spend longer time on the saddle.

Pulsar 200ns breaking is excellent and it has good stability on the road upto 120kmph speed.if u want further stability simply changed the stock euroslip(stock tyres ) to mrf then u can feel a lot of changes in the overall performance of the bike. Extremely rev happy bike. miles ahead as compared to the old pulsar's.

What is your requirement Naked or Full Fairings?
You will get used to every bike, but if you like leaning, cornering then surely you should go for R15 or CBR150cc. Both are superb bikes, Honda is costly everywhere. Here is USA also.
Do not worry about maintenance, both bikes will require less maintenance then P200NS. But you cannot compare PS200 with R15/CBR150. Their category is different.

Hi Punith, i like fairing bikes. But there are only 2 bikes in that category cbr and r15,, i dont like Duke.. Cbr doesn't have Engine Kill switch and Pass button which is not acceptable for Rs-1.50/ bike.. and coming to the r15. everybody telling that bike is not suitable for tall riders... and also it has 17bhp and 14ps torque.. which is equal to my p180[2014] model.. so i am planning to go for P200ns

Now I am also got confused. I think you need more power and ofcourse P200NS is king here, as it is having 50cc benefit and more spark plugs. But at higher speed, sports bikes going to give you stable ride and smooth ride with good cornering confidence, as both bikes having windshield and aerodynamics benefit. Go for a test ride for all these bikes, try to test ride at higher speed also. For me pass switch and engine kill switch hardly matters. My CBR650F is also not having pass switch, but it has engine kill switch. But these switches hardly gives me any riding enjoyment like leaning, speed, cornering. See what satisfies your heart, your desire most. All three bikes are superb but having different behavior at different speed and rpms. Sports bikes are designed for higher rpm revs.

When I was in India, I was having Yamaha FZ16, and this bike was having superb leaning and cornering capabilities. And that time my room-mate wanted to go for FZ16, but I pushed him for more powerful P200NS. It was powerful, I enjoyed riding that, but I was not comfortable with cornering on that, I think that happened due to rear tire type as it was very hard compared to FZ and steering was also very high. Only P200NS guys can answer about leaning, cornering confidence. Or you should better test ride all these bikes.

This will help you in decision:

Do some more r&d, and finally share your decision.
