Re: Planning to Buy R15... or P200NS..???

Pulsar 200ns Cornering is good and it is way ahead than old pulsar and I have made a quick turn with 85kg pillion and 10kg luggage the bikes did a good job very good job but the better tyres change the game further.

Simply test ride the Yamaha r15 if u will find it comfortable Than get it.I have not Buy yamaha r15 because it is not good(comfortable) and it looks very odd for tall person

Hi Deep, Ok I leaved R15.. But still confused between CBR 150r and P200ns.. CBR has looks awesome. But it has low torque, no kill and pass switch.. it's not a small issue.. for 1,40,000 rupees bike. P200ns looks Just ok ..But side look is too bad... remaining things are fine.. SO dude's give me some advises .. Thanking You

Brother . ..just only looks are not tue peime factors in deciding a bike ...test its handling ..proven reliability etc...what is of use of cheap spares and all when the bike doesnt makes yoy happy when you ride it ....it is upto you to decide what suits you best.

U have already left out R15, U are leaving out cbr 150 because of engine kill switch and pass switch, u are not happy with pulsar 200ns looks. How can we help u out when u yourself have ruled out all the three!! :banghead: The best suggestion is do a TD of all the 3 yourself instead of just relying on our opinions. We can give u dime a dozen opinions but ultimately its u who will be buying it and living with it. Apart from the sporty stance, there is no negatives of R15, its reliable and capable and has good cycle parts. If u can adjust with the riding position, its a gem of a bike. Best 150cc sports bike out there. 200ns will give u an additional 50cc, but it is a naked, even though it is the best pulsar yet it has a few niggles, Cbr 150r is over priced by around 20-25k, but its a capable vehicle and comes with honda assurance, another 30 grands u get cbr 250r. So think well.

              Goodluck

I will give u some tips that i thinks about a particular Bike.

1.pulsar 200ns is a good overall product.spare parts are easily available in the market. No bike under price150000 can beat it.even it has top speed more than duke 200(limited speed).

2.hero karizma r /zmr is a good bike with better wind protection and comfort but spare parts are not easliy available.

3.yamaha r15 is the best bike upto 200000 but lacks only in one factor that is tall person is not comfortable with it and it looks very odd and simply make the bike like donkey. the rear seat Is too much higher.

4.duke if u want to purchase duke simply get the Duke 390.

                5. Bullet if u not found of pickup and top speed. It is the best comfortable bike till date and make you happy whenever you start it.

6.Honda CBR 150r is very good engine and comfortable but it is very over priced and I think that Honda is going to launch a dual light version in india soon.if you are happy to spend than take it.

They will tell like that in most showrooms.. but you will get sooner..
                    Also try other showrooms nearby..

They will also give a test drive.. If they don't.. Reach honda's website and send a request, you will get a call withing a day.
I had to do like that. The dealer near my place told test drive for these bikes is not available. I requested online and got one.

                    Technically,
Torque is basically for picking up from a considerably higher gear (Lazy to downshift..?)
Keep it in the right gear / rev and power comes into play.

I would say the low end torque of the CBR150R is overhyped. Its not designed to be ridden at lower revs.
It stays above 5.5-6k rpm if you know to shift properly. If you keep below that you will experience low acceleration.
Its a DOHC Engine. You have to revv to extract power. The sheer power and excitement at higher revs is amazing.
The engine is so smooth and capable that it keeps going upto 10.5k without any vibes.

Also the switch gear has improved.. You get Pass Light with updated switches to turn on the pilot lamps. Kill switch is not present.
Its not recommended to turn off and quickly turn on the engine as its a closed loop fuel injected engine.
Any stops below 30secs wont give you an advantage saving petrol.
An engine draws more petrol while it starts... and considerably more with a push start,
also you will be slowly damaging the battery by doing it frequently.

Depends on your requirement and taste...
decide based on what you can live up with.. no bike is perfect..

True... Its a Power Beast.. But also vibes, develops gear & clutch problems soon, not faired.
Though carbuerated engine gives good mileage for the power it develops.. Its become a common bike as lower
end models share the same styling. There is no special differentiation looks wise.

2.hero karizma r /zmr is a good bike with better wind protection and comfort but spare parts are not easliy available.

Karizma ZMR is a good faired bike, but rear shocks are at commuter standard, I dont like the styling of the new one either.
Engine is >200cc but tuned to give less power in trade for mileage. Its a HONDA derived engine so is reliable etc etc... but...
Hero is supposed to launch the HERO HX250R by DEC 2014 in the same segment and is better than most other bikes... so a ZMR might get outdated soon.

3.yamaha r15 is the best bike upto 200000 but lacks only in one factor that is tall person is not comfortable with it and it looks very odd and simply make the bike like donkey. the rear seat Is too much higher.

PLUS no grab rails for the pillion... comfort is less as shocks are set to be hard and track focused. other than all these its a great bike. Looks a bit too aggressive but build standards are good, plastics are good. Maintenance wise people on forums say its costlier so refer before buying.

4.duke if u want to purchase duke simply get the Duke 390.

Good bike.. technology is good, foriegn based standards.. powerfull.. not faired (i know faired ones RC390 etc... have arrived but they dnt have pillion seat)
Again rear seat is small in other models. I dont like the sound, its the sound of a short stroke.. Silencer is low, rainy days might prove to be painful.

                    5. Bullet if u not found of pickup and top speed. It is the best comfortable bike till date and make you happy whenever you start it.

OP asks for faired RE wont fit the cause.
An RE is more of a relaxed tourer. It doesnt fall in the sports category itself. Decide !

6.Honda CBR 150r is very good engine and comfortable but it is very over priced and I think that Honda is going to launch a dual light version in india soon.if you are happy to spend than take it.

mi8 be a little overpriced but it gives you what it promises... no hidden surprises.

my additions in bold... As deep says I've also heard of future CBR150R launches scheduled for Mar2015 and CBR300R, Hero HX250R launches Dec2014.
                    Hope this helps ...

                          Go and get an NS.
2.5 years and 25k kms later, still rides like a charm. What you need to do is maintain it properly.

                          Go and get a R15.
Its Yamaha. if your riding style and posture fits it, Its the best thing you can buy, though its a pain for the pillion.

You can never get tired of revving and driving a Duke.
Been there. Done that. The thrill it gives for the price you get it for is actually unmatched.
                          200/390, depends on your budget.

                          CBR
Never driven one, will never drive one probably, as its not my kind of thing.
But have read reviews and whoever bought them, had only 2 things to complain about:
                          1. Honda After sales service. On a scale of 1-10, people have marked them as -10.
                          2. Spare parts. But this is an old problem and I believe HMSI might have sorted it out.

In the end, out of these four, get whatever you want and you will be happy.
It depends more on your requirements, budget and riding style than on anything else.

Moreover, Your best shot remains Bajaj/ yamaha as their after sale services might be nearest to your location. Honda, you'll have to check for ASS for cbr150R.

Read whatever everyone says and go and buy whatever you like.
