I am 5'9 and 69 kgs. I work in an agribusiness based company so I have to travel a lot to villages and fields. My typical daily commute will be around 150 - 250 kms. I have to maintain an average speed of 70-80kmph to meet my needs. I am 21 and thanks to the Indian roads I started to have back pain within 2 months. Presently I am using a Yamaha SZ R and would like to upgrade to a more comfortable bike. I am looking to buy a used bike as I can't afford a new one. Budget is 40k. Can stretch it to 60k Max . Please suggest a bike good for my backbone. Thanks in advice.

Re: Need bike for long daily commutes.
AFAIK, SZ R is a very good bike as far as comfort is concerned. But still, if you want a more powerful used bike I'd suggest you a Karizma R or a GS150R. Both of them suits your need pretty well. And please do not ignore the back pain. It might haunt you all along later in life. Go to a good doctor and follow his/her instructions religiously. Even if that means some compromises(you know what I mean).A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Re: Need bike for long daily commutes.
Thanks for your input Krishna77. I'll try to find a karizma r . The sz r used to be comfortable until the shock absorbers got worn out. This bike also has a low top speed (hardly 100) so that's why I decided to get a better bike. What about the karizma zmr. Any big difference between ZMR and R in terms of riding comfort.

Re: Need bike for long daily commutes.
In my opinion, karizma r is better suited for your travel as it is able to cope up with potholes better than zmr. Also the zmr is costlier and bigger. But both use almost same power plants with mild tuning...

The ZMR will be a bit tough for you to navigate through traffic due do the added weight of the fairings. Apart from that, not many differences in comfort department.A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.
