+1 for Karizma R. Very good proven engine, reliable and an authorized service center every where makes it a winner.
check out the Suzuki GS150R too.
Take test ride and decide.I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Re: Hello All, Need a new bike after 8 yrs
Thank you all for your welcome & suggestions, some updates post my query here.
Last week I found some time and went out to test ride some bikes apparently since the gods opened their taps, there was not much i could do & some of the time went out in travelling out of BLR. Anyways, I test rode two bikes One was the new Yam (150 CC, s2 or something, which has a FI engine and 13.5 horses) and the other was the new suzuki (I dont rembr the name) out of these two I seriously enjoyed the short ride on the Yamaha it was kick ass and great..Having said that i went for a short TR, i need to test it on the HW or some straight roads, this bike had excellent road handling, and very comfortable (Im 5.5 & weigh 63kgs).
Im not sure on the Pulsar NS which most of you are suggesting, my apprehension is it would be a heavy bike and i dont think I would be able to manage that. I would TR it & the karizma too soon.
PS: I weigh about 63Kgs, i had missed mentioning this though. Pls suggest anything else, and also let me know your actual experience on how you rate the bikes in case if you have tested them before you bought your bikes:
All your suggestions be over 50 Kms of riding at a stretch:
Yamaha 150 S2, Karizma R, Honda ?, Pulsar 220, KTM?
Comfort:
Ride Handling:
Maneuverability in city:
Bike weight handling: (Removing from parking lots):
Torque:
General feeling after a long ride:

You probably mean the FZ V2.0. Yes that's a very good machine. Even capable of long rides. Have a TR and let us know.A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

In terms of looks and power, i loved the v1! Infact dat was my first choice while buying a bike but then, there's no replacement for displacement. So ruled it outOriginally posted by Balgi View PostIts a good bike but has been down-tuned compared to the v1 Fzs. Still pretty reliable and I personally like the new look.

For highways and long rides, its either the zmr or p220 from the above. Ktm I've not ridden so no comments.Originally posted by crn12 View PostThank you all for your welcome & suggestions, some updates post my query here.

And Keep in mind. Higher displacement bikes would require less strain for highways in order to maintain the same speeds. Which directly effects the energy level of the rider.

Re: Hello All, Need a new bike after 8 yrs
I think you are stressing too much on your age...come on you are only 38 years, you are not an old man, not even a middle aged man...I myself am 38 years and I ride a CBR250 and planning for a saddle sore ride...saying that I would suggest, you should try Apache180 ABS...perfect handling and braking with sufficient pulling power, suitable for your height, excellent for city ride and you would love the fun factor associated with it...a very good product at that price bracket...all the best

Re: Hello All, Need a new bike after 8 yrs
Its been couple of weeks since i posted however the bad news is there is not much testing done post that, I did again try the Suzuki Gizzmer & the Karizma ZMR yday. It was obvious that the ZMR was powerful however it did result in a position which I wasn't comfortable riding it. This weekend it should be the Pulsar, DTM, Apache 180 & the Yamaha V2 again.
So far the TR have been on:
1. Yam V2 - Shortlisted
2. Suzuki - Twice - Not selected
3 Karizma - Not selected
