we missed a very good option here...

The Hero Honda CD Deluxe. Just check it out. No need to explain anything. More or less the trusted old splendor with little changes in looks. But the seat is almost flat - unlike the splendor

My final opinion: Go for the Splendor NXG.
        10 Commandments:

2)Thou shalt respect one's own life and the live's of other road users.
3)Thou shalt respect one's own bike.
4)Love thy bike as thy self.
        5)Always wear safety gear.
        6)Alcohol is a strict NO!
7)Thou may lust after thy neighbour's bike specially if its of the R1 kind!
8)Thou shalt ride with 'ultra-most' care and caution when on Indian roads.
9)Thou shalt never leave the engine running at long traffic halts.
10)Thou shalt follow all of the above.

go for XCD 135. good overall package, i mean styling, power and handling in traffic.

i have a caliber 115 for 5 years and only rear tyre change and a headlight bulb, still giving around 70KMPL. where are the quality concerns?

Splendor NXG looked like it had a really good fit&finish. Recommending it for the 2nd time.
