the Rc390 and duke390 are couple of beasts and CRAZY VFM i mean like seriously i think its the most VFM motorcycle out there
i will soon update you when I'll be able to get a test drive.am not able able get a test drive right now because i haven't received my license yet 😔😔

Wait! Are you saying that duke 390 is not as difficult to master as an RC 390? If so I gotta tell you bro you couldn't be more wrong. The RC 390 is a lot more tame and easy to ride in fact than the duke 390. The RC lacks the duke's hooligan pull and its also tuned to have less low end torque. The duke is a wild stallion that fights you if you try to tame her but the RC's are already tamed (downright domesticated) steeds that actually make you feel confident when in the saddle.

yes I've heard the same that RC has more linear power delivery and it does not feel jerky like the dukes.
could you shine some light on this topic about the power delivery of these bikes if you have a first hand idea
that would be very helpfull

That crazy VFM bikes you are referring are seriously crazy, one small ( i should say tiny ) mistake can lead to big crash or something like that. D390 or RC390 both are 43.5 ps power and its no way easier for a guy like you which has very little riding experience.
Regarding fz or gixxer these both bikes have top notch quality and engine refinement in their segment and very good bike for learning purposes.
Bro don't take otherwise but you should start with sub 200 cc bikes or like other member said buy a second hand pulsar 220 learn basic riding techniques then graduate yourself to D390 or RC390

I would say start riding your friends bike each day for a week or two and you will get to know your weak points.
After that decide if you will be able to handle a 375 cc bike.

I understand your urge to own a premium, high powered bike as your first bike and enjoy the exclusivity. Indeed owning such dynamically high bikes will help you learn a lot as a beginner and help you move up the line to a litre class superbike. But just think how much of a rider you are before you step onto it. I recently got my first bike and I was under a budget which was just around 1.5 lacs. I had duke 200 on my cards but rejected it due to various practical reasons some of which being usage, maintenance, safety etc. I agree with everything you're putting up here. Only one thing I can tell you, seeing things off a bike is totally different from what you get to see once you're on it. I REALLY INSIST YOU GET YOUR LICENSE FIRST AND THEN EVEN TAKE THE ACTIVA OR SCOOTY YOU'RE RIDING NOW OUT FOR A RIDE. I had the urge to choose a more powerful bike than what I have now. Yes, I was just like you, Power, POwer, POWer and more POWER. But now, I completely feel it was just an illusion. You might have 40 or 50 number of horses but brother, in India you won't get a good place to gallop safely. And living in Delhi you'd have the urge to take your bike to even Buddh International Circuit, but again that will take a lot of time. Really A LOT OF IT. I feel you should not get a bike for some months, instead get a license first and utilize those months for test riding so many other bikes which DO NOT ATTRACT you and THEN GO TO BIKE WHICH ATTRACTS YOU. If safety is your option, then do not depend on ABS or grippy tyres or any other hardware. First develop the skills and then depend on your inner sense when you get on a bike As far as I have seen, there are only more number of people who make decisions like you're thinking and DO NOT use the bike to the fullest as a beginner. If you're not going to become a racer, then I would suggest you to very well ride a splendor in the city EXTENSIVELY and then even think of going to 150 cc + bikes. Brother, try me, I've been in Delhi for quite a good time although I'm in Chennai. The traffic is no less there. It is only worse in some places. I strongly feel you need to gain experience first in the city roads to shift gears and especially RIDE IN DELHI SUMMER AND WINTER :P :P You'll then know how GREAT smaller bikes are.

Trust me, I'm not warning you or demotivating you from getting your dream bike. But please jump back to reality as whatever you're thinking now will be totally different from what it is going to be once you get a bike. Since we do not know your riding style we can only spew out huge paragraphs of text, text and more text just in a bid to make you realize. And please do not think of 4 years from now. Nobody knows how or where you're going to be and what your soon to be bike will also be doing to you. Do you know why these forums are helpful and to whom? It's because there are tons of people here to warn and guide you. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY IT HELPS THE ONE WHO IS PUTTING THE IDEAS INTO PRACTICE AFTER READING THEM FROM THESE FORUMS. Whatever you've read about tyres, ABS and quality hardware will be a dust in reality if the bikes do not suit you. So please get on the saddle, test ride your dream bike safely, think multiple times about the possible practical problems and solutions and then buy your love

yes but R15 riders dont have a good image among the people out here in delhi that is also one the reason am nkt going for it.although a r15 with Daytona kuit would be pretty nice
(r15 is the only150cc bike i like)
i also have a general idea of braking and i practice the 70%-30% way of braking
(70% front 30% rear)so abs is also not a necessity vut i just want a powerfull and refined engine that will keep me satisfied for 4 years basically
duke 200 according to me lacks sanity it is very intense in my opinion and cbr250r is out of production and sale that is why RC390 was looking like a valid options but surely i will take your words into considerationand i am very thankful for your reply

I always considered your preferences before writing my suggestion. But you do seem to stick with your 4 years plan very persistently. I do not say its not important to consider future now. But all I can say is that you're thinking too far in time. When you can consider rc390, you can very well choose to ride the 200 version. If I may split those 4 years then I would do it this way

first 6 months : nothing productive with bike

next 6 months : something flickering in your head to use it in a new way.

second year : outing with friends in groups. Trust me the faired rc 200/ even p200ns has the power and torque to drag you to himalayas if you have good skills :P

third year : long tours and some corner fun (intense). Track is still far away due to various reasons.

fourth year : still not using the full potential of the bike. Not even 50 %. And I mean it. But you'll feel the worst for being stuck with this bike and I suggest you not to feel so just in case. Because there are still 4 more years to explore with the same bike

And in the meanwhile there will be panic situations. You'll need more months to overcome the adrenaline rush and the fear to do long tours alone/ with group!

Do not worry about upgrading and your parents will give in. Man they gave in from a Honda Civic to a bike which costs very much less than the car! Trust me you'll be just fine to even with a tvs sport (72 kmpl :P :P ) . Also people who buy r15 do not utilise it fully. You know here in Chennai we have one of the oldest race tracks in India and there are supercool races with r15 vrooomingg and destroying corners. Also I've seen a few events in Buddh Circuit with Yamaha racing using r15 to bring out enthusiasts to limelight. Trust me, that bike is not even like what you think. You'll need to master so many things to utilise it fully and you will not get bored at all. Also 70-30 or even 30-70 doesn't matter. You learn riding just like music. There is no end to it. You keep improvising( your skills) and learning or just stay off the crowd.

wait for Yamaha R250 its coming in india and will be a good bike as u will get power as well and a more safe and stable bike.
