Thanks for the detailed reply. I am done with test riding cbr150r, r15, duke200 and gixxer. The problem is, my cousin and I live at different ends of the city and we meet up only during the weekend. There is no proper bajaj showroom in my area and my cousin doesn't want to go alone. But as far as his experiences at service centres, alone, he feels hero service is nice as he owned a passion and they were kind to it whenever needed.

It's just as expected, the younger ones in most families are more enthusiastic towards bikes and I being the one here, push him to try different bikes. He went for suzuki gixxer test ride alone and just like you said and as my cousin and I witnessed japanese bikes are built so well and thy're uber refined. Today, we rode a unicorn160 but it doesn't feel special but definitely super refined. Also about Bajaj again, my cousin's nearest dealership said they do not have a 200NS for test ride. So we have to search for another big show room when we meet and test ride one.

My friends who own japanese bikes(r15, gixxer) says they feel no fatigue due to rough engines and suggest strongly to choose it for the long run and also for long distance touring. That being said, I now have to test pulsar 200 NS for its refinement and then decide after a discussion with my cousin.

Ok, So now that you have test ridden the Japs, it will be easy for you to compare the refinement level of 200NS with respect to the Japs. And now you can see for yourself how big or little the difference is. Like I said different people perceive different things, I like 200NS for the power, cheap service, value for money and reasonably refined engine, so I would suggest it to my own brother for what it is. Someone else might not want to compromise with the refinement and might be willing to pay premium price for a premium product, he might reject 200NS. SO it depends from person to person.

Please take time and do test ride 200NS, see for yourself how good or bad the engine is, does it suits your brother, and then make an informed decision. After all its your hard earned money and you will be using the bike for years to come.

Sure, as I have mentioned, the comfort and relaxed ride are top priorities. So refinement level of the engine is on top. Pulsar200NS thread members say its engine is butter smooth too. But only a few members say it depends on maintenance and type of riding. I just wanted to compare the handling of 200ns and gixxer. Which is more promising?
